Someone mentioned briefly that the next launch from Taiyuan could be as early as December 15th! I was slightly surprised by this, but apparently the new launch pad could support THREE launches in a single month, so....  ::)
Remind me please… what happened to the old launch site?

Probably for some, um, suborbital launches....  ::) (there's quite a lot of missile testing happening from Taiyuan (the Vandenberg/Plesetsk of China) this year)

So it looks likely that if the current schedule holds, China will for the first time overtake the US in yearly orbital launches and launch attempts. Last year, China tied the US.

I'm still in doubt about the YG-14 YaoGan Weixing-14 launch this year.

Looks like it was originally scheduled for December 5th, but apparently the launch has already slipped into 2012 (probably in January).

Warning! You have quote my post where I tried to do an uneducated guess on the launch schedule in January, so the January 5 date for FY-2F is most likely incorrect.  :P

BTW, the code for China's manned spaceflight program is 921, not 912.  ;)

That's why I used the '?'.

Thanks! Corrected!

Interesting serial numbers...  ::)

The next few flights of the CZ-4 series are as follows:
CZ-4B Y15 (ZY-1-02C)
CZ-4C Y9 (YG-14)
CZ-4B Y26 (ZY-3)
CZ-4C Y10 (maybe YG-15?)
CZ-4B Y12 (dunno, could be CBERS-3)

Meanwhile, FY-2F was approved for moving to the launch site on November 16th, so a launch around the new year seems likely...

Will there be a CBERS-3 at all? Haven't heard anything from this program for ages.

Anyone has the serial numbers of the CZ-3A rocket used on July 26 and the CZ-2C used on November 29?

The July launch used CZ-3A Y17. Dunno about the CZ-2C in November, but the August failure involved CZ-2C Y26.

Apparently FY-2F will be the passenger of the first Chinese orbital launch of 2012 (unless SAST did one in early January, which I think is unlikely), riding on CZ-3A Y22 towards GTO.
