Yeah, I  think I saw one episode of Ahsoka and didn't watch anything further because I didn't like it.

I had a negative reaction to the first episode but stuck with it. She was rather grim, and superior. For the first few episodes it felt like many of the characters were really full of themselves. That let up a bit, but it was tiring.

I found Mandalorian season 3 (which I watched only a week before Ahsoka--I'm late to all of these series) to start out a little slow/bland, but to pick up faster. I enjoyed that a lot more than I did Ahsoka.

Just had to throw this one forth before I forget -- does anyone see any similarities between Dedre and Servalan?

I wonder if she's going to die by the end of this series. If she were to live on, then she'd be an even deadlier threat than before, since she'd be bitter over having lost Syril. But it seems like Syril's own death then suggests a similar shared fate for her.

The cynic in me would imagine that Disney's profit machine should at least want to keep some of these characters around, rather than just letting them be quickly snuffed out. Because then they'd bring their hard-won gravitas to other storylines to help abet these further projects.

This gravitas-mining could become a basis for further success of the Disney Empire.
An unfortunate but perhaps unavoidable side-effect would be to gut the value of the original storyline, to the distress of its fanbase... but...

"... bad luck for them"

Thanks for posting this. I remember seeing it long ago. It's like poetry. I just wish there had been some added storyline for her in Andor; after Andor, she just appears with little background. Saw raised Jyn and instilled that angry influence in her. When Saw felt that Jyn was getting too close to being like her sister, he ghosted her so he wouldn't have to deal with another loss. Seeing Jyn and her reaction to her father in the hologram was very emotional, and Saw knew that his job was over. Jyn and Andor will carry on where he failed, yet triumphantly honoring his sacrifice for the rebellion. Thanks.

A brilliant take on Andor:

On the same thought:  Just like Syrl, after hearing Andor ask him, "Who are you?" and deciding not to kill Andor, in some strange manner, made Syrl "the Chosen One", for had he killed Andor, everything else would not have occurred, and Luke would have just continued as a moisture farmer.

That was emotional. Has more impact than we saw 11 years ago—Cassian's own monologue would have made Marva very proud.

Mind blown...

I think it's an interesting question if Syril would have killed Andor if he had a few more seconds. He lowered his blaster and looked a bit confused, but maybe he would have recovered and his rage returned and he would have pulled the trigger.

That's not how the force works.   ;D

It surprises me that there aren't more NRA members watching Star Wars for fun, as many of the weapons used are from modern warfare's previous usage. There are content creators out there who go into detail about all the weapons.  Just the NRA membership could keep Star Wars entertainment going.  ::)

But HELLO, that sniper wasn't the only one firing, and it had a muzzle flash.

I finished it.  Well Done.

Of the reviews published so far, this is one well-balanced:

Fair enough. But wouldn't it have been an irony if Syril was indeed hit by Cassian's question, and indeed wondering "wait, who am I? What am I doing here? How could I be so blind?"
Imagine he's being hit by the weight of his answers to the question posed, only to suddenly be killed by a blaster bolt in the next instant.
It then becomes a cruel irony.
