Full size pic.

...hopefully tonight no-one will stand where this guy stands... ;)

edit: added:

He gives a good sense of the size of this pad, though.

Also the name on the sign has been brought up-to-date.

731pm radarmap showing some very light rainshowers over the water moving northwest, but also dissipating as they approach land. Some low clouds here and there but no thick stratus deck to block the view. Winds blowing around 8-12mph from the southeast.

Ok boys and girls. L-35 minutes.

Webcast starting soon.
http://www.spacex.com/webcast/

Remember, this is an update only thread (for housekeeping etc.) Please use the other threads for discussion, and all the other side topics. This is solely focused on updates, such as countdown, screenshots, written updates.

Site is already very busy, but we have the webmasters on and we'll keep guests on as long as viable. As noted for major events (and it doesn't get much bigger than this, if we remove guests, it will only be for a short period to aid smooth operation. Follow @nasaspaceflight on twitter - I'll also be providing some updates on there too - to let you know when guests are back on if we remove them. Expanded note from earlier on this:

Obviously, this is going to be a massive event and if the site starts to become overloaded with people we will remove "guests" (people not logged in) for a short period to ensure the site remains smooth. See note in opening post.

Remember, the forum format is not ideally suited to what has become incredible demand (and it really does become incredible demand) Huge demand and pages that have a lot of data = stressed out server hamsters. However, this format is superb for the amount of content we can put in one place and provides an archive of launch days - now over 10 years-worth.

That was the main focus, especially when we weren't a massively hit site, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who re-lives Shuttle launches and you can go back to Falcon 1 here. So the future will involve this format continuing (albeit with new software improvements), but we will be implementing additional live launch day resources via other formats next year, so that we still have these live threads for real time and archive, but with other live options within the site for real time...additionally handy for those increasingly viewing the site on phones etc.)

Let's do this!
