Has it been announced when he will be sworn in?

Well, he has been sworn in now.

Quote
Well it is official now..

I want to again express my sincere appreciation to President Donald J. Trump @POTUS for nominating me to lead NASA, and to the United States Senate--and Chairman Cruz @tedcruz - for their diligence and fairness throughout the confirmation process. I am grateful to Secretary Duffy @SecDuffy for his leadership as Acting Administrator during this transition, and to my wife Monica, my family, my friend Senator Sheehy @TimSheehyMT and everyone who offered their support along the way.

As I step into this role, I make these personal commitments:

– Mission: I will champion the bold objectives of human space exploration, scientific discovery, and a thriving orbital economy that ensures America’s leadership in space. We will never again give up our capabilities to reach for the stars, and we will never settle for second place.

– Integrity: I will serve responsibly, transparently, and without personal gain, covering every cost I am legally permitted to, and fully adhering to my ethics agreement. My loyalty is to my country, my President, and the space agency that has inspired me since I was a child.

– Urgency: I will intensely focus the agency on achieving the near-impossible, the very reason NASA was established in the first place. We will eliminate the bureaucracy that impedes progress and empower the best and brightest to take ownership, move quickly, accept smart risks, and act with a relentless focus on mission success.

– Inspiration: Every launch, every scientific breakthrough must inspire the next generation to dream bigger, to reach higher, and believe that anything is possible. In addition to my existing philanthropic efforts, I will donate my salary as Administrator to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s Space Camp  to help prepare the pioneers of tomorrow.

I am humbled by this opportunity, proud to serve, and ready to work alongside the most talented minds in America as we continue the greatest adventure in human history.

Sincerely,
Jared Isaacman
NASA Administrator

NASA Welcomes 15th Administrator Jared Isaacman

Jared Isaacman was sworn in Thursday as NASA’s 15th administrator by District Judge Timothy J. Kelly. The oath was taken during a ceremony held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington.

As NASA administrator, Isaacman will lead the agency in bold pursuit of exploration, innovation, and scientific discovery.

“I am deeply honored to be sworn in as NASA administrator,” said Isaacman. “NASA’s mission is as imperative and urgent as ever — to push the boundaries of human exploration, ignite the orbital economy, drive scientific discovery, and innovate for the benefit of all of humanity. I look forward to serving under President Trump’s leadership and restoring a mission-first culture at NASA — focused on achieving ambitious goals, to return American astronauts to the Moon, establish an enduring presence on the lunar surface, and laying the groundwork to deliver on President Trump’s vision of planting the Stars and Stripes on Mars.”

Isaacman, nominated by President Donald J. Trump on Nov. 4th, was confirmed to serve as NASA administrator by the U.S. Senate on Dec. 17. Isaacman is expected to address the workforce this week.

Jared “Rook” Isaacman is the 15th administrator of NASA, a pilot, astronaut, seasoned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and pioneer in commercial spaceflight. Read Isaacman’s official biography online.

Not a good visual that the new Administrator is botching the Vulcan greeting.

Just kidding. great to see Isaacman finally sworn in!

I am guessing those are his parents?

Though I approve of most of Isaacman's statement, I cannot help but interpret the bolded portions differently now than I would have had Isaacman not donated $2 million to Republican causes after Trump sandbagged his first nomination on the grounds of previous donations to Democrats.

It's actually $1M that was given to a Republican/MAGA PAC. The $2M was given in November 2024 for the Presidential inauguration. But I think that this was more Isaacman trying to prove that he is a Republican (despite his previous ties/donations to Mark Kelly), rather than Trump asking for donations. I think that Isaacman went on a number of conservative talk shows to also prove that he is actually a Republican. Isaacman also said that he voted for Trump both times. So he is likely a Republican but prefers not to talk about politics. He explained to Glenn Beck that Mark Kelly was a former astronaut and that he had called him after the Inspiration 4 mission and they had met after that, to explain his ties and donations to Kelly's campaign.
