"That can't be, that's impossible," Luke Skywalker said, looking at the picture of a Stealth aircraft.

Everything old is new again...

"That can't be, that's impossible," Luke Skywalker said, looking at the picture of a Stealth aircraft.
"That's no SR-71. It's a RB-47", said Luke  ;)

That text says Blackbird aircraft in flight, but that's not a Blackbird. The wing angle is all wrong.

New satellite pic of the possible new Chinese aircraft carrier under construction. I don't know the details of the satellite that took this.

Almost all the photos of China's new helicopter carrier were from a distance or from a satellite. But suddenly there are a bunch of close up photos.

China's newest aircraft carrier, probably nuclear-powered, continues construction.

And now for something slightly different. Japan has several helicopter carriers. They are converting them to enable them to operate F-35s. The most noticeable change is squaring off the forward flight deck. (Note: there's an interesting issue about how the Japanese designate these ships. They call them "helicopter destroyers," which evokes a certain amount of derision from people because they are not really destroyers. However, I read something awhile ago that this is not simply deception, but is partly a translation issue.)
