Was I the only one whose heart was absolutely thumping as we crossed T-10 seconds through until the booster was several kilometers up? I mean, launches normally get the old heart rate up, but this was more than usual given the circumstances.

No landing, "just a comsat" launch (c) Jim :)

Yet we're as busy as ever. Servers are steaming, but are holding up really well (thanks L2 members who fund them - I say that a lot, but it needs to be said).

The countdown announcer got caught up, too.
He completely choked on 10-9-8-7-and 6. :)

Are you serious!?
I assure you, my statement was firmly rooted in the rules of english grammer and party thread logic. DANG IT!!! Look what you made me do...ANOTHER serious statement. Now I have to run outside, turn around three times and curse loudly in order to fend off bad ju ju.

Hee, hee!  It's like getting somebody to say "Macbeth!" in a theatre....D'oh!

I gave my screen a "don't even think about it" glance at T-10 seconds ;D

Leo was found in a pipe at my brothers worksite with some other kittens. With his tortoise shell colour and his "underground" origin, I named him Leonardo after one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! The other kittens found good homes elsewhere.

That must be the Soyuz of computer monitors on that desk. ;)

Still going strong after 20 years, although I have to give it a bang once in a while when the screen pincushions on me. Its been in the repair shop more times than I care to remember, but I like the quality of the picture compared to modern screens.

It's like my desktop CRT monitor as well, it has to be 15 years old, but it's still going strong. I see no reason to replace it with a modern flatscreen monitor that would probably have its image quality become severely degraded in a few years.
