NSF camera van spotted on Lab cam!
I use to own that van. We've both seen better days.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I’m thankful for @BocaChicaGal understanding the daily grind like no other, and continually encouraging me in my pursuits. I’m truly thankful that we get to live so much of life together - the ups and the downs - as we watch your backyard change everyday.

I am thankful for @NicAnsuini picking up the slack as I stepped away to be with my husband who was in hospital for 48 days. My husband is still recuperating at home. I will get back out there again. Nic you are awesome! 🦃🥰🚀🔥

Wishing Mary and her husband all the best.

I will cherish all the wonderful memories of our life together but I will miss my husband terribly.
I want to thank the @NASASpaceflight family and our neighbors at SpaceX for their love, support and kindness through this difficult time. ❤️

Sending all our love to Mary

I'd like to acknowledge the selfless service of one rusty old Grand Caravan, which has served the cause through two owners (Me and Mary) as a camera platform without fail, including being about 600 feet from the recent 31 Raptor static fire without losing a window.
You can poke your finger through the steel and it would probably dissolve it it was ever washed, but still runs and never complains, unless you count the thunks, squeaks, rumbles, whines, knocking noises, bearings rattling and sounds of small creatures skittering around.

I know it's an update thread, but catdlr, thanks for all the updates with this level of detail!

This thread is the right place for giving thanks to our intrepid Boca Chica friends, and it hasn't seen a posting for almost a year, shame on all of us! - Let's make sure it doesn't drop off the front page for the next long time.

Crossposting from the Flight 11 discussion thread:

Worth mentioning here, here's Mary's farewell to Boca Chica, posted from her new home in Michigan, with a beautiful video of a Starship flight launching over her house.

Thank you Mary for your service to the community.  Thousands of us around the world relied heavily on your support in the early days of Boca Chica activities, before NSF had built up the formidable assets it has now (robotic, human, vehicular, real estate).  This work probably wasn't what you signed up for when you retired to BC, but you took it on admirably.  Thank you again.

PSA #1: Suppress forum auto-embed of Youtube videos by deleting leading 'www.' (four char) in YT URL; useful when linking text to YT, or to avoid bloat.
PSA #2:  Use Google's "site:" operator to quickly find threads on NSF; google those three words for guidance  *** two more tips in profile ***

Mary.  Thank you and the best to ya

We are on the cusp of revolutionary access to space. One hallmark of a revolution is that there is a disjuncture through which projections do not work. The thread must be picked up anew and the tapestry of history woven with a fresh pattern.

Mary, your photos showing the day by day evolution of the starship program and Starbase itself have enriched my life. As a youngster I dreamed of being a part of something like this, but the many years it's taken to get to this point have now made it impossible for me to realize that dream. You, Nomad, and the rest of the photojournalists who have contributed to the documentation shared here at NSF have brought the wonder of it all to those of us who cannot be there to see it for ourselves. I, at least, am most grateful to all of you. But especially to you Mary. Your eye for an interesting shot was what made your efforts stand out, at least in my opinion. Thank you very much! May you live long and prosper.
