Does the total payload even matter much for rockets in the same general class? Small launchers rarely launch with close to mass-limited payloads. The average LauncherOne so far has been carrying less than the average Electron flight.
Not to mention, every LauncherOne launch has been a collection of cubesats...so even if they did pack enough onboard to exceeded Electron's limit (which has yet to happen), some Electron-compatible subset could have booked with Rocket Lab anyway. Since Rocket Lab and Virgin Orbit have approximately the same $/kg, there's no inherent advantage to ridesharing on LauncherOne.
