Ok so the first 600 milestone (launches) came just days after the last 500 one (relaunches)

For your consideration: When will the first (n+1)00 milestone actually happen BEFORE the last (n)00 milestone?

Meaningless numerology? Yes.  That's my point.

Two years ago I mentioned Falcon would reach its 1,000th launch and that it will happen this decade. At the time, it was about to perform its 299th and 300th launch within the following 24 hours. Falcon completed its 600th mission less than 24 hours ago.

With 400 to go, I still believe it'll happen and that it'll be this decade. If Falcon continues its current cadence, it may very well reach 1,000 flights around the summer of 2028, maybe late 2028 if it starts slowing down in cadence. Could also be earlier if they push cadence.

Regardless, the boss also thinks Falcon will exceed 1000 missions by the time it retires, so I'd say I was on the right track two years (and 300 launches) ago

The important part of those tweets by @Alexphysics13 is the tweet by Musk

Congratulations on 600 missions!

Falcon will probably exceed 1000 missions before retiring.

This implies Starship won't immediately take over. That's a good sign that Elon can still be realistic, at least sometimes.

400 missions is like two years...

I mean even at best Starship will barely become operational by the end of 2026, and build up in 2027, so it's just unavoidable.

I'd say 2027 is the cross-over year, and 2028 is the tail of Falcon ops.  They should stop at 999 just to annoy people....  And avoid any roll-over bugs.

I can think of at least one example: There have been less than 500 successful F9B5 launches using flight-proven boosters and fairings compared to the 600 Falcon 9 family launches.

Somehow, I can see the last Falcon launch being launch number 1069 - using the booster with the same number.

So much exclamation for a pretty routine occurrence in a mature technology.

Are there refurbishing dock facilities in Ensenada?

Looks like a dry dock to me

SpaceX has converted another Falcon Heavy Center Core into a Falcon 9! B1099 just rolled to the test stand, and external features indicate this is a Center Core. Like B1091, B1099 will likely fly a few times as Falcon 9 before being converted back.

With another revamp!

I was able to bring this newer and better design, improving visibility and including how to understand it.

With this morning's Starlink Group 6-101, 13 launches for January.

According to Nextspaceflight.com, tomorrow morning's (UTC / tonight US time) Long March 2C is the last launch scheduled for this month, and it'd be 24th attempt - so Falcon is more than half of all world launches this month.

With their late burst of 3 launches in 3 days they managed to match last year's January total of 13, despite having been running behind for much of the month.

It will likely fly a few times in the F9 configuration before possibly being expended on a Falcon Heavy mission later this year
