🏳️🌈Alejandro Alcantarilla Romera (Alex)@Alexphysics13Two years ago I mentioned Falcon would reach its 1,000th launch and that it will happen this decade. At the time, it was about to perform its 299th and 300th launch within the following 24 hours. Falcon completed its 600th mission less than 24 hours ago.
🏳️🌈Alejandro Alcantarilla Romera (Alex)@Alexphysics13With 400 to go, I still believe it'll happen and that it'll be this decade. If Falcon continues its current cadence, it may very well reach 1,000 flights around the summer of 2028, maybe late 2028 if it starts slowing down in cadence. Could also be earlier if they push cadence.
🏳️🌈Alejandro Alcantarilla Romera (Alex)@Alexphysics13Regardless, the boss also thinks Falcon will exceed 1000 missions by the time it retires, so I'd say I was on the right track two years (and 300 launches) ago
Elon Musk@elonmuskCongratulations on 600 missions!Falcon will probably exceed 1000 missions before retiring.
The important part of those tweets by @Alexphysics13 is the tweet by Musk https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/2012686230920511624QuoteElon Musk@elonmuskCongratulations on 600 missions!Falcon will probably exceed 1000 missions before retiring. This implies Starship won't immediately take over. That's a good sign that Elon can still be realistic, at least sometimes.
Ok so the first 600 milestone (launches) came just days after the last 500 one (relaunches)For your consideration: When will the first (n+1)00 milestone actually happen BEFORE the last (n)00 milestone?Meaningless numerology? Yes. That's my point.

That's a good sign that Elon can still be realistic, at least sometimes.400 missions is like two years...I mean even at best Starship will barely become operational by the end of 2026, and build up in 2027, so it's just unavoidable.I'd say 2027 is the cross-over year, and 2028 is the tail of Falcon ops. They should stop at 999 just to annoy people.... And avoid any roll-over bugs.

Lukas C. H.@GewoonLukas_SpaceX has converted another Falcon Heavy Center Core into a Falcon 9! B1099 just rolled to the test stand, and external features indicate this is a Center Core. Like B1091, B1099 will likely fly a few times as Falcon 9 before being converted back.
