The information noise in the Russian space programme (and beyond) continues...

The situation is very clear, but not in the English-language media, which like to invent noise on these matters :D

Nauka (and only Nauka) will be taken from the ISS.
NEM will be launched on Proton-M from Baikonur.
UUM and ShM modules will be launched on Soyuz-2.1b from Baikonur.
Crew and cargos will be launched on standard Soyuz MS/Progress MS from Baikonur.
And that's all.
No other modules, no Oryol, no Angara, no Vostochnyi.

No other modules, no Oryol, no Angara, no Vostochnyi.

If so, Russia remains with its achievements from the 1960s and 1970s.

In part, yes. Except NEM.

So is Oryol fully cancelled or just delayed?

It has a budget of zero ruble for years 2026 to 2028. But I don't know if it has been officially cancelled or not.

It now sounds like only Nauka will be undocked.  But, this raises some questions.

1. Nauka is a module with a toilet and one Electron oxygen generating system.

2. Prichal is a docking port with 6 ports, 2 are in use, the other 4 are not.

3. Prichal must be undocked by a Progress before Nauka is undocked.

4. What is the status of UUM (Prichal 2) I've never seen a photo of it.

5. Prichal is their newest module on the ISS.  Is its structural design that bad?
Is the engineering dept at Energia that bad?

6. When will Prichal be undocked?  When will Nauka be undocked?  When will UUM be launched? When will        NEM be launched?

7. Everything you have heard so far from Russian officials, is subject to change in the future.

Could you please advise what you mean by "No other modules, no Oryol, no Angara, no Vostochnyi"?

There will be follow-on modules once ROS is established, and these will be lofted by A-5M from Vostochny. Are you suggesting that ROS will never be more than NEM + Nauka + UUM?

So is Oryol fully cancelled or just delayed?

It has a budget of zero ruble for years 2026 to 2028. But I don't know if it has been officially cancelled or not.

Oryol is low priority as Soyuz is adequate for LEO operations, but what are the sources for this claim?  Are they authoritative, or just more pointless conjecture from somewhere like Novosti Kosmonavtiki?

Can all of you move this kind of political discussion out of this area before the thread gets locked?

Thank you, Eric. I was waiting in the bleachers for someone to issue a red card on the field. I have now removed that inappropriate content.

To the others listed above, please refrain from engaging in that type of discussion here in the future.  I'm not taking sides; it's just not appropriate here.

Continue one.  I'll return to the bleachers.

I don't know.

5. Prichal is their newest module on the ISS.  Is its structural design that bad?

There are cracks in the module's structure. It was known well before launch and does not threaten the ISS. But lifetime is shortened. That's why they can't take it to the ROS. UUM will be basicaly the same module as UM (Prichal), but without cracks.

6. When will Prichal be undocked?  When will Nauka be undocked?  When will UUM be launched? When will NEM be launched?

I don't know.

Yes (except it will get ShM too).

My source is Russia's federal budget, accessible here: https://sozd.duma.gov.ru/

Per RSW Subscription content UUM is in outfitting as I posted in an earlier post and was per RKK Energiya etal.

1. Starting with great discoveries: Roscosmos head Dmitry Bakanov at AMTExpo forum said that the orbit inclination of the planned new Russian space station #ROS was changed from 97° to 51,6° as a result of Bion-M №2 flight. ⤵️

It turned out that the radiation load in the polar orbit exceeds that on which the ISS is currently located. Thanks to this experiment, we were able to draw conclusions and avoid making mistakes in the inclination of the orbit that we choose." - he said. ⤵️

Radiation levels are higher in polar lattitudes?

Who'd have thunk it?    :o

In further news, scientists have determined that rain is wet.
