I keep the livestream open most of the time. But nothing on. I saw only the opening ceremony and the panel with the heads of space agencies. Tweets show there are a number of events going on but no live streaming.

Never mind as long as we can see Elon Musks presentation, but still disappointing.

I loved the sneak peek last week.

The veloenvivo.com "live" feed linked from the main www.aic2016.org site is getting a "509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" error.   Is this the feed that is also supplying Livestream?

If Steve is just last week getting a sneak peek that does not make me too hopeful that there is much current progress.

Look for this guy asking overly technical questions today.

Looking forward to all those questions!! Glad that you're there.

The architecture is just as predicted by many (including myself) on this forum.  :)

 - "MCT" is second stage
 - LEO refueling using MCT tanker variant
 - Sideways reentry at Mars (not Dragon shape)
 - Land the whole thing

Landing the BFR on the launch mount is a surprise  :o

I am so excited, I don't think I've been this excited (about spaceflight) since the Apollo moon landings. Before Elon's Mars commitments I was beginning to think that I would never see people walking on Mars in my lifetime (I'm 68 in a few weeks), but this gives me real hope.

42 Raptors in first stage and 7 in second.

The end of the video was amazing. All that coolness, then drop the big one right in the final seconds!

42 Raptors in first stage and 7 in second.

Including three smaller ones in the middle.

Probably Mars atmosphere pressure optimized instead of vacuum optimized.

If all we got today was that video it would be enough for years of discussion.

Chris B, as Elon is talking later it'd be 'fun' if you post which of the live updates previously made you fall off your chair?!  :)

Here's the fun thing. What I saw was last year and preliminary. If that was enough to make me fall off my sofa (it was a sofa, I remember falling off it as I was checking the e-mail on my phone and opening the attachment - then on my arse I fell) then goodness knows what today's going to be like, with an hour of Elon talking about it, likely showing videos and slides and stuff.

I'm going to be busy drafting an article as this happens, but I might do this face ";D" on key words, like if he says "tanker".

Video said Tanker, so that counts! ;D
