I remember finding a Columbia tribute video that sampled part of this speech, and Missing by Evanesence as the main theme, on this site but can't seem to find it again. This was years ago though so it may no longer be around. If anyone knows any more though I'd be grateful!

Thanks,

James

It was a very moving moment ten years ago, and watching it again today I'm still fighting back my tears.

It was - again - the loss of seven extraordinary men and women.

And it was - again - the loss of a fine ship.

And it was the beginning of the end of the Space Shuttle program and - as it stands right now - the beginning of an age of great uncertainty for the manned U.S. space program.

Let's hope all parties involved finally can live up to the legacy left by Columbia - the first of her kind.

Hail Columbia!

Still chokes me up everytime I watch this, the fact that he honored Columbia as a part of him and as a living soul, just as her crew.
