What is the payload cansiter doing in the SSPF?
« on: 06/20/2006 05:18 pm »
Just checked here http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/countdown/video/chan6large.jpg and noticed the payload cansiter in the SSPF. What is going to be loaded into it?

I win.

I figured out the puzzle.

The Columbus module is going into the payload canister to go over to the O&C to be put in the vacuum chamber.

This answers the question on this thread.

Still need to confirm this.

Done.  here is the O&C feed of the chamber

It's not bay so to speak, but a  fixture that rotates the module to vertical and then mounts it  in the vaccum chamber
