MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Progress MS-20 space freighter, which was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome on Thursday, docked to the Zvezda service module of the International Space Station on Saturday.

The resupply ship automatically docked to the ISS, according to a Roscosmos live stream. The process was monitored from the ground by the Mission Control Center, while Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin, who is also a TASS special reporter in space, and Anna Kikina partnered together for the same task on board the ISS.

Progress MS-22 brought more than 2,500 kg of cargo to the ISS, including 720 kg of fuel, 420 kg of potable water, 40 kg of nitrogen, and about 1,354 kg of dry cargo: various equipment and materials, including those for experiments.

The space freighter also delivered food rations for the Russian cosmonauts, the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences told TASS earlier.

MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. The launch of the crewless Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft intended to bring Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin and NASA astronaut Frank Rubio back to Earth has been postponed until early March, Roscosmos Chief Yury Borisov said on Monday.

"The launch of the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft in crewless mode has been postponed until not later than the first ten-day period of March so that we can make certain and find the place of the possible breakdown [of the Progress MS-21 resupply ship]," he said.

Update on Progress Resupply Vehicle Deorbit

Sandra Jones Posted on February 18, 2023

Following the undocking of the uncrewed Roscosmos Progress 82 cargo spacecraft from the International Space Station at 9:26 p.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 17, flight controllers at Mission Control in Moscow canceled the scheduled 11:02 p.m. deorbit burn, which would have set the vehicle on course to burn up over the Pacific Ocean.
Progress 82 currently is in a stable configuration and on a safe trajectory that keeps it well away from the International Space Station while teams on the ground discuss a forward plan.

The ignition of the Progress MS-21 engine for deceleration to deorbit is scheduled for February 19 at 06:15 Moscow time. As a result, the ship will enter the atmosphere and collapse. According to the forecast of specialists from Roscosmos enterprises, the fall of unburned elements of its structure is expected at 06:57 Moscow time in the non-navigable area of the South Pacific Ocean.

MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. The damaged Progress MS-21 spacecraft, which was undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday, sunk in the non-navigable section of the Pacific Ocean, Roscosmos reported on Sunday.

"Progress MS-21 was deorbited today, entered the atmosphere, and crashed. Unburned parts of its structure fell into an isolated section of the South Pacific Ocean," the state corporation said in its Telegram channel.

The Progress MS-21 spacecraft, which depressurized on February 11, was undocked from the ISS at 05:26 Moscow time on February 18.

On February 11, the Progress MS-21, already prepared for undocking, began to leak coolant. The depressurized spacecraft was isolated from the space station.

Before the landing of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, the ISS orbit must be corrected

This morning at 07:20 Moscow time, the engines of the Progress MS-22 cargo ship were turned on: they worked for 958.32 seconds and gave out an impulse of 1.8 m/s. As a result, the average height of the station's orbit was 418.9 km above the surface of our planet.

Recall that Soyuz MS-22 will return to Earth in March this year without astronauts, but will deliver cargo and scientific equipment to Earth.
