As noted in a poll (https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=60665.0) ULA tweeted images with "3", "2" and "1" at 10 am Eastern Time on April 2, 3, and 4 (twitter link). The images also include "ULA" and "#VulcanRocket". ULA is presumably planning an important announcement with some connection to Vulcan tomorrow (Friday). The time of the tweets suggest that the announcement may be at 10 am Eastern Time.

I'm mentioning this here in case there are people interested in ULA who don't follow the polls section of the forum.

The big announcement was just a lame comic…

My next TSR article should be online later today. It is about this subject: [Farah Fawcett's famous poster]
Response option 1: You have my attention.
Response option 2: Men of culture; we meet again.

Can't wait to find out the name [of the 4th ASDS]. Will it continue with the Gravitas gag?

"The following ships have not appeared in any books, however they were named by Iain M Banks in an interview with The Guardian.[4] These ships obtained their names as a result of another (unnamed) Involved civilisation criticizing Culture ship naming policy, claiming that such powerful ships ought to have names with a little more gravitas."

Or perhaps:

Gravitas Ferociter?

It would be interesting to see if SpaceX's fifth droneship receives a name that alludes to Starship development being somewhat slower than previously announced.

I Blame the Parents has a nice ring to it.

I think I'm supposed to point out that talking about names might be a wee bit off topic but I'm laughing too hard.

One more theory: The announcer is a NSF member and wanted to see how long the thread will get before it gets locked.

^ This. There's the *real* tin foil hat...  :o  ::)  ;D
NSF are everywhere. Claiming it's a tin foil hat thing? that's just plausible deniability.

Behind the veil, a member commented:
"Cadence is so high..."

My first thought: "Was she partying hard in Canterlot before she married Shining Armor?"

But (generally), her name is spelled Cadance.

If you have to choose to have one machine be broken—either the Food Texturizer or the Food Shape-ifier—pick the Shape-ifier every time!  ;)

The crew is running behind making last minute cargo adjustments directed by SpaceX but the ground says they have margin.  Node 2 overhead hatch will not be closed due to the imminent crew Dragon relocation.
Dang it Ted! You were suppose to put our underwear that we were going to keep to be sent down on this Dragon. I am still peaved you put my favorite shirt in Cygnus.... now it's a shooting star over the Pacific.

I just realized - if I wanted to finally go and watch a rocket launch in person, I'd just need to book a flight to the cape at literally any day of the year and stay for at least 3 days - I'd be almost guaranteed to watch a launch. -- more so, I could just do that the next time I'm in the US anyway for whatever reason.

This is incredible - watching ANY launches just a few years ago was as hard to plan as watching a Starship launch from Texas is now.
