That's some tight tolerances for the SRM right there at liftoff... is the first stage design based off some well-characterized missile, like other Chinese "private" solid LVs have been? Otherwise, they must be incredibly confident in the burn transients and attitude control accuracy in the first few seconds of flight - the insulation falling off the sides of the vehicle as it clears the launch "cage" doesn't appear to consist of guide rails or other directional GSE as in cold-started launchers.

14 satellites launched by the first Jielong-3 from the Yellow Sea at 0635 UTC. But I need to go to bed, so I'll sort these out tomorrow afternoon after work.

Some highlights of Chinese commercial rocket Smart Dragon-3

The four-stage solid-propellant carrier rocket is the largest of the Smart Dragon series. It is capable of launching up to 20 satellites, with a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons for 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit.

Low T/W for a solid rocket.  How does this compare to ZK-1A?

On review of launch videos, ZK-1A (Lijian 1) appeared to rise a little bit faster at liftoff.  Perhaps the difference lies in the upper stage and larger fairing.  Jielong 3 is reported to weigh more at launch, though appears to use same or similar first three stages.

Jielong-3 successfully debuted from the Yellow Sea this morning. The solid-based launch vehicle lifted multiple payloads at once and shares a lot of similarities with the Zhongke-1A rocket.

More footage of Smart Dragon 3's maiden launch. It appears the TAI RUI barge has been remodeled to meet the demands of a "hot launch", including removal of a building at one corner, installation of rails for the hanger & an extension to put the rocket directly over the sea water
