Here's a nice photo of the launch site that was posted on the Orion blog.

Notice the angle on the burn-off flame in the pictures. I wonder what that implies for wind velocity? Live picture on NASA TV website picture shows flame bent to about only 30 degrees above ground most of time in last 5 minutes.

If you have issues with NASA TV, use UStream instead...

From blog:
Weather Green, Core Boosters Fueled

The weather conditions have cleared and are now acceptable, reports Weather Officer Kathy Winters. The forecast has not changed, with chance of acceptable conditions remaining at 40 percent for launch time this morning.

Also, the launch team completed fueling the three core boosters of the Delta IV Heavy and pumps are now in trickle mode meaning they will top off the tanks as the countdown moves ahead and a small amount of the cryogenic propellants boil off.

L-1 hour 20 minutes. There was a huge flare just before.

On Ustream, the left number is the number of viewers, which is around 13,000 at the moment. The right number of 34.3 million is the accumulated number of views.

The bend over of the burn-off flame is so bad it makes me wonder if it will be a scrub today because of winds ???

u stream always pauses every few seconds for me unfortunately no matter what computer or device I try. The nasa stream always starts well but gets worse over time. It's a shame really as it probably very off putting for the casual observer and doesn't help nasa at all when it comes to getting people interested in space exploration. You would think they could work with youtube to broadcast events like this
Looking at the number of viewers on UStreamHD, right now it is around 34 million viewers.  That might be part of the problem, don'tcha think?

it's actually around 12,900, 34 million is total views not current viewers
