Hi John,

Thanks for the videos as usual!

Did you catch the post landing processing and crew egress/walkaround?

Thanks

Ian

If you're talking about the flight day package that debuted yesterday, in the past I haven't seen these available for download.  I'm trying desperately to figure out VLC in order to do it, but I'm failing pretty miserably.

Not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but the mission highlights are normally a few hours after landing on Nasatv and last about an hour. Thought i had seen them available to download on previous missions but could be wrong

I think we're talking about the same thing.  Every day during the mission PAO puts out a flight day video and airs it during crew sleep.  At the end of the mission they further edit those individual flight day videos and put them all together into one big mission highlights package.  And that last one is what you're referring to, right?

After past missions I've looked for these videos online and had no luck, and so far today it still isn't posted.  NASA TV has been replaying it today, though, so there's still hope.  In fact, I tried to record it but I, uh... I can't figure out my software.   ::)

The daily videos, however, are all on John's site, if that's what you are actually referring to and I've misunderstood.

I'm trying desperately to figure out VLC in order to do it, but I'm failing pretty miserably.
Put this in the Windows "Run" dialog box: (the url is for public channel)

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" "http://www.nasa.gov/55644main_NASATV_Windows.asx" "--sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=file,mux=asf,dst="C:\Some_Path\Some_File.asf"}}"

Make sure "C:\Some_Path" exists otherwise the output will fail. You can also use the Windows task scheduler to record at specific times but make sure you use the "Stop the task if it runs for..." option.

I'm not sure about that URL, I couldn't get it to go.. However I do know this one does (I have it bookmarked in winamp along with my SomaFM channels :) )
Try this: mms://63.250.197.129/bcpenc252181?StreamID=60771113&pl_auth=5425068ab607b6658273c4aa2f35b11f&ht=30&pl_b=0044B4C294DE9AF0F17FE12A8747EACAB9&CG_ID=1369080&Segment=149773

By the way - Thanks John for the vid caps - much appreciated!
