Question: Do you have payloads for the French Guiana flights?

Le Gall: One is Galileo, the other one will be the second Pleiades satellite for CNES, and the third one, we still have to see what we will put on it.

I'm told Arsat-2 will go before Arsat-1, probably towards year's end, early next year.

Arianespace, Galileo and GMES

Evry, May 2, 2012

The European Commission and the European Space Agency have chosen Arianespace to deploy the entire Galileo constellation. Deployment started in 2005 and 2007 with the launch of the first two experimental satellites, Giove-A and Giove-B, then continued on October 21, 2011 with the first Soyuz launch from the Guiana Space Center, carrying the first two satellites in the constellation. From now until 2015 deployment of the 24 satellites in the constellation will continue, using six Soyuz and three Ariane 5 rockets. The satellites are now under construction by the European space industry.

The European Commission and ESA have also signed an agreement with Arianespace for the launch of three dedicated missions in the space component of Europe's GMES program – Global Monitoring for Environment and Security. The first of these satellites, Sentinel-1, will be launched by Soyuz, while the next two satellites, Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3, will be launched by Vega.

July-August - Intelsat 20 / GSAT-10 (TBD) - Ariane 5 ECA (VA208)
second half (TBD) - HYLAS 2 - Ariane 5 ECA

I was told that the co-passenger of Intelsat 20 is Hylas 2, and the launch is scheduled in late July.

Notwithstanding these concerns, integration of the OHB-built Galileo satellites, including the Ampac-supplied propulsion modules, is on schedule to deliver the first satellite by late this year, with a launch of the first two spacecraft scheduled for March 2013, according to OHB’s Robert Simonovic.

I would wait for Arianespace's manifest before stating anything. Arsat-2 might go before or not, they could launch both this year, one this year or both early next year. It would all depend on Arianspace's other client's. But today they told me that it was probably Arsat-1 the one that would go before, even though the Arsat-2 was ready first.

If I am not mistaken, the original agreement between Arianespace and TsSKB was only for 14 Soyuz launches from CSG.

However, there are more than 20 Soyuz launch campaigns listed on this page. Could someone enlight us?

10 more Soyuz signed in 2010.

The contract implies additional order of 10 Soyuz-ST’sand relevant support for the period up to 2016. Some launches of the Russian rocket will serve for deployment of European navigation system Galileo. Totally, 24 Soyuzes are to fly from French Guiana, including those ordered today.

And I guess nothing stops them from ordering more if there is a need.
