[Max-Q] "The Next Endeavour"
« on: 05/16/2013 02:00 pm »
On this, the second anniversary of Endeavour's final voyage into space, we present our final film dedicated to the orbiter.  The Max-Q/NSF combination team had people on location at KSC, Ellington and Dryden to document her final journey to California.  From NASA 905's arrival at the SLF to the duo's final combined departure from Dryden, we'll get you up close and personal with Endeavour one last time.

It's been a privilege working with Brian, Larry, Steven, Chris G and Philip for the last few years and we're thankful to Chris B for the opportunity to produce these videos for NASASpaceflight.com.  This particular one wouldn't have been possible without the help of PAO at KSC, JSC and DFRC, as well as the crew of NASA 905 who generously showed us around.  We also thank you all for supporting our work since 2006!  Enjoy!

So how good is that from Nate!

I know a lot of you will be thinking "Wow, that's a good video" before rushing off to the SpaceX forum, but before you do, give Nate the props he absolutely deserves in this thread.

I've posted to FB to promote it, and the site...

Great production by Max-Q Entertainment -- which I had no part in...I just submitted some marginal footage which they somehow made palatable.

Great video. Not just artistically, but also very interesting to get such an all-access viewpoint.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!  Too many people to thank individually in one post, but we had a LOT of help from people who were very generous with their time and efforts to make it all happen. The film is short, but it was a huge team effort across the country.  You all know who you are, and you have our utmost thanks and appreciation! It was an honor to share the adventure with each of you and we're proud to be able to commemorate the adventure like this.

Wonderful video as always. Brings back such wonderful memories of that magical day at Ellington. A once in a lifetime opportunity shared with some pretty incredible space geeks. Love the ATC audio in Houston.

Got my name on the video too! So happy to help out in a very small way. :D

Damn you guys rock at this. It was like Nate's personal tour, but high level TV documentary level.

If that was on TV I'd say it would be up for an Emmy. No joking.

Our first (PRESS To MECO) was also a try at the all access bit. We love showing the behind the scenes stuff as we know you all love it as much as we do.  ;D

You can tell just by watching this video, that it was made by true Space Shuttle fanatics. Very well done, Nate. Great choice with the soundtrack too.

Like I said, if you ever need another set of lenses, be sure to shoot me a PM.  :)

Great video to the whole Max Q Entertainment team. Looking forward to the next one, whichever space vehicle that may be.
