The next United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket will launch the second Kuiper internet satellite batch on June 13 at 2:29-2:59 p.m. EDT.

This next Starlink launch will likely be mid June.  LC-39A will be available after turnaround from Axiom-4, but as that launch is currently delayed to June 10, this launch will likely be from SLC-40, circa June 14?

Falcon 9 first stages are now cleared for use up to forty times for non-crewed launches, although that number is apparently more restricted for Cargo Dragon or Cygnus than these other payloads.

Available first stages, with UTC date of most recent recovery:

1076.22  Feb 21    ??

1094.2    Apr 29     Axiom-4
1078.21  May 4
1085.8    May 7      SXM-10
1083.12  May 10   Starlink 12-24
1067.29  May 13
1090.5    May 14
1095.2    May 21
1069.25  May 24
1080.20  May 28
1092.5    May 30

That’s way too early for a slip like that. 33 hours before the first opportunity, and now it’s automatically rescheduled for mid-morning that day.

Unless there was an orbital plane change decision made off-camera, this slip doesn’t make sense.

SpaceX is targeting Friday, June 13 for a Falcon 9 launch of 23 Starlink satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 11:21 a.m. ET, with backup opportunities until 11:44 a.m. ET. If needed, additional opportunities are available on Saturday, June 14 starting at 7:18 a.m. ET.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the new X TV app.

This will be the 21st flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-6, SES O3b mPOWER-B, USSF-124, Bluebird 1-5, and 16 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
