According to Chinese news, TianHui-1 is a "Mapping Satellite". Its CCD camera provides images of a 60 km wide strip with 5 m spatial resolution, Multi—band camera provides 10 m spatial resolution. And has a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 500 km.

No, no news about SJ-9 and to be honest I don't think this launch will take place today (hope I'am wrong!).

Can you say why you think Cheng'e-1 launch will take place on October 26? Is that related to the end of the 17th CPC National Congress? This would be a good date to launch Chang'e-1.

Somebody added the date to Wikipedia, and seeing as 1 October isn't going to happen, it seems the most likley choice. Not a very reliable way of doing it, but logical.

Some new information points that the next CZ-4B launch could carry a YaoGan-3 sat.

Also, China had planned to launch the new NewTec-1 small sat until the end of the year, but probabliy this launch will slip to 2008. This is a technology test satellite, being the first vehicle of the NewTec satellite series, primarily designed to carry out in-orbit demonstration of new technologies and new products. The NewTwc-1 is a small sat, so it will be launched toghether with other satellite.

The possible Chinese launch schedule for the remaining of 2007 and 2008:

????? 2007 - CZ-3A - Xichang - BeiDou
????? 2007 - CZ-4B - Taiyuan - Yao Gan-1B (-3?) (Jian Bing-5-02?? (-7)) (?)

April - CZ-3B - Xichang - Apstar-6B

If NewTec is a small satellite, might it launch with one of the other satellites scheduled for 2007?
