That is an amazing thread!
You can even find Chris's B age if you read it carefully.   ;)

We may have to dead-thread it. That's L3 level information.

I feel like dressing up as a COPV (the guys at far right) would be sort of an edgy costume for a SpaceXer.  Though maybe it gets points for scariest costume there?

To see the actual COPVs in situ: http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=41018.msg1690878#msg1690878

Oscar Meyer COPV's are the best!

Error 404
Costume not found.

Made me chuckle.

They'll have to compete for that prize against the Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty) cosplayers in the center--given the recent "Rick and Morty McDonald's Szechuan sauce riots" at a few of the LA McDonald's locations...
;D

Despicable Me franchise Minions noted on the far left...

I was digging back on the history of SpaceX while looking at the SpaceX launch log and I found out that there was a time when a hold in the countdown was announced by the launch team (in the middle of nowhere) sending an email to Elon's Garage (TM) in SoCal, where someone would announce to the media via a phone hotline!  :o

No, that was in 2005..... :P

Wow... reading that launch thread. SpaceX has come a long way!  ;D

Look at this post in that thread:  http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=918.msg10574#msg10574

Chris has indeed come a long way with membership.  ;D

What is the costume with orangy top and a white body with SpaceX lettering supposed to be (next to all the R&M constumes)? My first thought was a stage firing downwards but ... ?

Technically, they're COPV protective jackets, the things that make the black COPVs look red in tank assembly images.  You can read the "REMOVE BEFORE TANK CLOSEOUT" printing on them in this photo, which makes it yet another informative party thread entry, but we seem to allow occasional digressions onto topic here.  ;D

Horror theme...
Wasn’t there a story about being walled in written by Edgar Alan Poe?
These guys want to be sure THEY are removed from the tank before close out!

At the risk of adding something informational to the party thread, I believe that was "The Tell-Tale Heart".

Edit: Should have Googled it first. The bricked up wall story is "The Cask of Amontillado". "The Tell-Tale Heart" gets hidden under the floorboards.

No, it's The Cask of Amontillado...

Edit.. This is evidence of a party. Talking over one another is quite common in such situations of well mannered frivolity.

That is an amazing thread!
You can even find Chris's B age if you read it carefully.   ;)

We may have to dead-thread it. That's L3 level information.

There is a L3?  :o

Sorry citizen, you're not cleared for that information[2]. Go on about your business... nothing to see here.... move along.... move along....

1 - The computer is your friend[1]. Report to the nearest disintegration chamber for further processing, er information.
2 - does anyone get this reference???

Plus...
You just have to pay the lifetime L2 subscription twice. By the way there is no additional information available in L3 than in L2. And all L3 posts are cleverly hidden by the sneaky cover of the label “L2” on the threads. But you know you’re in L3, because your bank balance is lower... AND you have this smug look on your face knowing you are supporting the best space flight blog in history.

Paranoia. One of the few RPGs where the rulebook worked also as a piece of comedic literature. No actual playing required.

You have a self-referential footnote. I think I'm stuck in an endless loop...
