Eugen Sänger... the father of this type of spacecraft...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugen_S%C3%A4nger
Eugen Sänger is not an appropriate name for this type of spacecraft because the Silbervogel he designed was only designed to reach suborbital altitude despite being intended to reach space.

Eugen Sänger is not an appropriate name for this type of spacecraft because the Silbervogel he designed was only designed to reach suborbital altitude despite being intended to reach space.

Since the first Dream Chaser orbital vehicle has been named Tenacity, the other nine Dream Chasers should be given these following names:
- Intrepid
- Joe Walker
- Neil Armstrong
- Friendship
- Liberty
- Gene Cernan
- Wally Schirra
- Bill Nelson
- John Young

-Four of the names you have proposed have zero to do with any lifting body/space plane program (Friendship, Liberty, Gene Cernan, Wally Schirra).
-One of them (Bill Nelson) is a US politician from Florida who, let's be real, forced NASA to take him on a glorified political junket in exchange for continued political support.
-One (Intrepid) is a distinguished retired US aircraft carrier, but who's only connection to the lifting body/space plane program is to serve as real estate for Enterprise.

Therefore, over half the names you yourself proposed earlier in this thread have little or nothing to do with what was intended to be a lighthearted thread naming future Dream Chasers. You have no business correcting Tywin for his suggested name of Eugen Sanger, and if you are a Gentleman/woman, you owe Tywin an apology and should delete your post chastising them.

Sierra Nevada isn't going to pick names for Dream Chaser vehicles derived from unbuilt spaceplane designs. The best bet is for the second and orbital Dream Chaser vehicles to be christened the William H. Dana and Joe Walker respectively, since the first orbital Dream Chaser vehicle has been named Tenacity.

The OV-101 was originally planned to be named Constitution and unveiled on Constitution Day, September 17, 1976. However, fans of Star Trek asked US President Gerald Ford to name the orbiter after the television show's fictional starship, USS Enterprise, and when the president said that he was "partial to the name" Enterprise, he directed NASA officials to change the name to Enterprise.

Constitution also happens to be the class name of the Original Series Enterprise. Had things been a little bit different, the Enterprise could have been a Constitution-class Space Shuttle orbiter.

Now how is that for being extra meta?

And it's also the name of the oldest commissioned USN warship.

The second orbital Dream Chaser could be named Intrepid, and the third orbital Dream Chaser vehicle ought to be named Voyager after another Intrepid-class starship from Star Trek, the USS Voyager.

Constitution is also, as the D&D fans will be keenly aware, a synonym for ones endurance or hardiness, which would allow it to slot in nicely after Tenacity and establish a naming scheme of positive attributes. You could then follow it up with your preferred options from Wisdom, Charisma, Intellect, Cunning, Guile, Faith, Fortune, Courage, Valor, Daring, Sympathy, Tolerance, Patience, etc.

Wait, ∆V? This site will accept the ∆ symbol? How many times have I written out the word "delta" for no reason?
