Russian / Soviet mission pins?
« on: 05/27/2011 08:03 pm »
Does anyone have any good sources for Russian and Soviet mission pins?

I've managed to get quite a few from roadside sellers in the FSU, but online searches only seem to show individual ones being sold in auctions, or  flown ones which are rather pricy...

You can sometimes find them at Ismailsky Park in Moscow.

Be aware - AFAIK there were no OFFICIAL Soviet manned space mission LOGOs from 1961 till 1978 (Inter-cosmos missions) with a single exception of Soyuz-19 (ASTP) in 1975.
As alternative you always could look up for Soviet stamps :)

The best way is to buy them by the lot off ebay, then fill in any gaps individually later. I have a few hundred from the 60s and 70s.
