JANUS-2 was initially scheduled to launch in March 2024 but subsequently has been delayed further to May2024.
Isro chairman S Somanath, during an event organised by the Astronautical Society of India (ASI), in Ahmedabad on April 17, had outlined the upcoming schedule, indicating that after an airdrop test on April 24, two more uncrewed missions are slated for the following year, leading up to the manned mission by the end of the year.

The AIT center recently facilitated testing for Thailand’s THEOS-2A satellite, which is expected to launch from Satish Dhawan Space Center in India by the end of the year. Developed by a team of GISTDA engineers and SSTL experts over two years, THEOS-2A is designed to orbit 520 kilometers above Earth. It will serve national needs, including agricultural management, natural disaster response, and resource mapping.
Proba-3 is scheduled to launch this autumn on an Indian PSLV-XL launcher.
