Starship HLS Development (Discussion+Updates)
« on: 08/14/2023 03:13 pm »
Since a new *supposed* mockup of an HLS crew section, let’s make a thread to discuss, post updates on, and speculate about the development of the Starship HLS and it’s systems.
hi! I am a 13 year old neurodivergent individual, although I can understand most things adults can too. I  have been interested in space since I was 5. Although I still have a lot to learn, I try my hardest to understand others, although sometimes I might not, so please correct me if I do not listen to others. thanks!

With all due respect, but it seems like this thread is virtually synonymous with the Lunar Starship thread. If it's not, could you please describe how to delineate the two? Thank you.

I did a search on Lunar and could not find anything, did you mean "HLS Landing in 2023 - What would it take?":

The last post was April 2023, and more speculation on doing something this year, maybe time for a new one that is more topical (updates and discussion)? :-)

I would like to maintain the artemis contracts as things for the contract itself, not for the development of it

Its also better to start anew, besides, that thread is literally dead now, so not really worth reviving it.

There is a "Moon Starship" thread:

7 posts, 4 photos and 2 videos in the last week. This Lunar Starship thread is very "not dead".

Sorry I was a little vague. Yes, I meant the https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=50806.2540 Artemis contract (Lunar Starship)

That thread is very active and has broadened to include the mission specific vehicle and the mission.

Anyone know the source of the attached image? Looks like an up to date render of Starship HLS, etc.

File name is "Starship sls_pg 30" so it might originate as a screenshot of page 30 of some document.

Thanks.

It needs the hot staging ring added.
