Looking at it geographically, BC is a poor location for anything but polar operation. And even then, it would be mediocre.A good Canadian launch site would need to be in Nova Scotia or Newfoundland, with Newfoundland actually being better. A launch site on the bottom of Newfoundland, near the Avalon Wilderness Reserve, would be able to access the ISS with little problem, for instance.
They seem serious about this...http://www.spacelaunch.ca/I'm still a bit skeptacle they can make a business case for it. Much easier (and cheaper) to just buy launches from the range of commercial suppliers already out there.
