🚀The fairing of the H3 Rocket No. 7 has been affixed with decals of "H3" and "HTV-X No. 1"!
HTV-X is a supply ship to the ISS. This time, with the meaning of "delivering your luggage," it even comes with a baggage tag🧳✨
What is the message hidden in the numbers readable from the barcode...?👀

In June 2025 the HTV-X1 having completed all system tests, separated its Service Module (SM) and Pressurized Module () in preparation for launch. The PM was placed horizontally, and its hatch was opened for the first time in about two years! 🔓 Starting in August, the loading of pressurized cargo has begun.

In August 2025, the first pressurized cargo shipment scheduled to be loaded onto the HTV-X1 vehicle arrived at the Tanegashima Space Center. The approximately 2 tons of pressurized cargo received this time includes water resupply tanks, among other items. 🚰 Each cargo item will be loaded onto dedicated shelves (HRR) for cargo mounting and then installed into the Pressurized Module (PM).

HTV-X is not just a supply ship. After completing the transportation of supplies to the ISS, it will be utilized as a technology demonstration platform in orbit. The first unit will carry out three missions: H-SSOD, Mt.FUJI, and DELGHT/SDX, over approximately three months. HTV-X can be said to play a dual role, so to speak. ⚔️

The attitude of the HTV-X will be estimated from ranging data from approximately 40 SLR stations around the world, and a quantitative attitude motion estimation evaluation using SLR—the world's first—will be conducted by comparing it with the telemetry of the HTV-X1 unit.

• Enhanced transport capacity: Weight increased from 4 tons to 5.85 tons (approximately 45% increase), volume increased from 49 m3 to 78 m3 (approximately 60% increase), a significant improvement over the previous model, "Kounotori."
 • After arriving at the ISS, it will be grasped by a robotic arm and docked with the Harmony module.
 • This mission will also feature new technologies such as "H-SSOD," "Mt.FUJI," "DELIGHT," and "SDX" as technology demonstrations.
 • Development of an advanced version is also underway with a view to supplying the Gateway, a manned lunar outpost, in the future.
 • The project also includes the technical demonstration of life support systems, such as the CO₂ Removal System On-Orbit Demonstration (DRCS), and aims to establish JAXA's proprietary technologies.

Due to bad weather, the launch of the HTV-X by the H3 rocket is delayed from the originally scheduled time.
So, I made a teruterubōzu to pray for the weather to clear up from space. Since it's in space, there's no up or down, and I wasn't sure how to hang it, so I tried filming a video in a place with good weather lol.

Great question. It's a new cargo carrier, and I've looked at many posts but didn't see any specific references other than being a "fruit delivery ship." I sent a request to JAXA. I'll post if they respond.

The first generation of HTV's were called Kounotori 1 thru 9.
So maybe Kounotori X1 or Kounotori 10 ?

Nice to meet you!
I'm the new space station resupply vehicle, HTV-X!🛰️
Following in the footsteps of the great predecessor "Kounotori," I've been tasked with delivering important cargo to the International Space Station!
I'm a bit nervous for my first mission, but I'll trust in my companions and do my very best!💪
I'd be thrilled if you could cheer me on for the journey that starts from here!😊

Here is what I got back. It's quite strange:

As with the HTV, if the first mission is successful and there's enough public interest, a nickname might be chosen for the second mission onward.
