How Starliner’s Failures Led To This NASA Mission | SpaceX Crew-11 - July 12, 2025

Quote
Jul 12, 2025
We explore the details of NASA's Crew-11 mission - the next crew rotation to the International Space Station (ISS). Sawyer sits down with NASA astronauts Zena Cardman, Mike Fincke, and JAXA's Kimiya Yui. Hear their personal stories, training experiences, and what they’re most excited about as they prepare to journey to the Space Station.

Cardman was originally assigned to NASA's SpaceX Crew-9, however when that mission had to free up 2 seats to bring home Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams following the Starliner fiasco, she was bumped in favor of Nick Hague.

Fincke has been instrumental in the development of the commercial crew program, and especially Starliner. He was the backup for the Starliner Crew Flight Test, and was at one time scheduled to fly on Starliner-1. Also - which Endeavour is the best Endeavour?

Why is SpaceX launching Jeff Bezos' Satellites? - July 15, 2025

Quote
Jul 15, 2025
Why is SpaceX launching Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellites when they’re direct competitors? In this video, we dive into the surprising collaboration between Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Amazon as 24 Kuiper satellites prepare to take flight on a Falcon 9 rocket. Despite competing in the satellite internet race with Starlink, SpaceX has a history of launching rival constellations like OneWeb and SES. Is this a strategic move, or is the market big enough for everyone? We also uncover why Amazon initially snubbed SpaceX for 92 launches with ULA, Arianespace, and Blue Origin, only to backtrack after a shareholder lawsuit. With a tight deadline to deploy 1,618 Kuiper satellites by July 2026, can Amazon meet the challenge?

LOAD ROCKET PARTS - Possible Starship Salvage Operation? - July 18,2025

Quote
Jul 18, 2025  #SpaceX #Starship #salvage
The construction and salvage ship LB Jill appeared on the Port of Brownsville’s manifest, explicitly stating “To Load Rocket Parts 1 M/T,” strongly suggesting salvage operations of rocket debris from previous Starship flights. The vessel has been maintaining position near an area where rocket debris from a previous launch may have drifted due to ocean currents... Booster 13 from Starship Flight 6 seems like a strong candidate for this operation. Catch up on what we know in this quick video.

Why The FAA Just SCRUBBED SpaceX’s Launch - July 22, 2025

Quote
Jul 22, 2025  VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE
SpaceX's latest launch attempt at Vandenberg Space Force Base was scrubbed at T-45 seconds due to "FAA airspace concerns." The NASA TRACERS mission, aimed at studying solar wind and Earth's magnetosphere, was halted not by a stray plane or boat, but by a regional power outage disrupting the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center. This left SpaceX unable to confirm a clear launch corridor. Join Ryan, as we dive into what happened and why.

Why Australia's First Orbital Rocket Lasted 15 Seconds | Gilmour Space Eris Flight 1 - July 30, 2025

Quote
ul 30, 2025  #GilmourSpace #ErisRocket #AustralianSpace
Australia’s first homegrown orbital rocket, Gilmour Space’s Eris, launched from Bowen Orbital Spaceport but didn’t reach orbit due to an engine failure seconds after liftoff. Regulatory delays and a fairing mishap preceded the flight, and one of the four Sirius engines faltered, causing the 30-metric-tonne rocket to lose thrust and slide off course. A second engine failure led to a slow descent and an unintended propulsive landing, with the rocket staying upright until it tipped over. Check out the footage and analysis of this dramatic test flight, and what’s next for Gilmour’s ambitious program.

NASA Cancels Dream Chaser - Will It Survive? - Sept 25, 2025

Quote
Sep 25, 2025
Is the Dream Chaser spacecraft dead? NASA's shocking decision to all-but-cancel Sierra Space’s contract for seven ISS resupply missions and shift the Dream Chaser’s debut from an ISS docking to a free-flyer demo has left space enthusiasts reeling. From its origins in NASA’s HL-20 concept to Sierra Nevada Corporation’s ambitious push for commercial crew and cargo programs, the Dream Chaser’s journey has been turbulent. Despite a successful 2017 test flight and excitement around DC-101 Tenacity, delays have pushed its first mission to 2027. With only five years left for the ISS and competition from SpaceX’s Dragon and Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus, can Sierra Space’s winged spacecraft survive?

The FINAL Starship Launch from Pad 1: Success + 2 Explosions! - October 13, 2025

Quote
Oct 13, 2025
Relive the raw intensity of Starship's Flight Test 11 from launch to splashdown: a clean liftoff from Pad 1 led to flawless staging, where the booster shrugged off one offline middle-ring Raptor during boostback and still brought all 13 engines home for a pinpoint landing burn with the updated profile. Upstairs, the ship hit SECO without a hitch, deployed eight Starlink simulators on cue, and nailed a sea-level Raptor relight before reentry's fury, dodging last flight's engine bay anomaly. The real showstopper was the daring bank through 55 & 30 kilometers, easing into a sharper turn below 6km to mimic a southbound Starbase tower catch, before sticking a smooth touchdown right on target for the planned finale.

Impulse Announce New Moon Lander! Can it Crush the Competition? - October 14, 2025

Quote
Oct 14, 2025
Impulse Space, the orbital maneuvering specialist founded by former SpaceX engine pioneer Tom Mueller, is expanding its ambitions beyond Earth orbit with an in-house lunar lander designed to deliver up to three tonnes of cargo to the Moon's surface. Leveraging the company's proven Helios kick stage for trans-lunar injection without the need for in-space refueling, the vehicle slots neatly into a critical market gap between smaller CLPS-class landers like Firefly's Blue Ghost and larger systems such as Blue Origin's Blue Moon Mark 1. Powered by a new engine using the reliable nitrous oxide and ethane bipropellant from Impulse's flight-tested Mira spacecraft, this agnostic design pairs with diverse launchers from Falcon 9 to Starship, targeting operational readiness by 2028 with plans for multiple missions that year—offering a pragmatic, near-term solution for lunar payload delivery amid the growing commercial space race.

NASA Boss Wants to Cancel SpaceX's Starship Lander - and Elon Musk isn't Happy - October 21, 2025

Quote
Oct 21, 2025
In a stunning shift for NASA's Artemis program, acting Administrator Sean Duffy announced on national TV that the agency is reopening bids for the Artemis III lunar lander—the first crewed Moon landing since Apollo 17 in 1972—moving beyond SpaceX's Starship Human Landing System due to persistent delays in orbital refueling and suborbital test failures.

Originally awarded to SpaceX in 2021 for this pivotal mission, Starship now faces stiff competition from Blue Origin's advanced Blue Moon Mark 1 and Mark 2 landers, which could accelerate timelines to beat China's Lanyue lunar ambitions before President Trump's term ends in 2029.

Elon Musk fired back on X, slamming Blue Origin's orbital track record while insisting SpaceX is lightning-fast in the US space race, even dismissing the urgency to outpace China in this renewed lunar exploration era.

BREAKING: The @FAAnews is implementing a Launch Curfew for All Commercial Launches & Re-entries.

Launches & Re-entries are banned between 06:00 - 22:00 local time, starting Monday, November 10th.

I think I am correct in saying that this is unprecedented.

The Emergency Order does not explain how the "local time" of a re-entry will be determined. Re-entries typically span multiple time zones.

Here is the exact language of the Emergency Order:
Accordingly, with respect to commercial space launches and reentries, under the authority provided to the FAA Administrator by 49 U.S.C. §§ 40103, 40113, and 46105(c), and authority delegated to the FAA Administrator under 51 U.S.C. § 50909(a), it is hereby ordered that, beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST on November 10, 2025, and until this Order is cancelled, Commercial space launches and reentries will only be permitted between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. local time.

BLUE ORIGIN LANDED THE BOOSTER! New Glenn-2 Flight Recap - November 13, 2025

Quote
Nov 13, 2025
Blue Origin's New Glenn just etched its name in rocketry history with a flawless second flight: a thunderous liftoff from Launch Complex 36, a fiery re-entry burn, and—against all odds—a pinpoint landing on the ocean-going platform Jacklyn, marking the second company ever to land an orbital-class booster at sea. After scrubs from weather woes and solar storms, the 60-meter behemoth powered by seven BE-4 engines soared into orbit, delivering NASA's ESCAPADE twin satellites on a clever detour to Mars via the L2 Lagrange point—chilling in deep space until the next transfer window opens, a workaround born from launch delays that once sidelined it from the Psyche mission. Upgrades from Flight 1's re-light woes shone through in a textbook re-entry and touchdown, drawing kudos from Elon Musk to Jared Isaacman, while underscoring New Glenn's pivotal role in Blue's Artemis ambitions, with Blue Moon cargo landers eyeing a lunar hop as soon as January.

Chinese Falcon 9-size Rocket ALMOST Lands on First Attempt! | Zhuque-3 Flight 1 Update  - December 3, 2025

Dec 2, 2025
China's reusable rocket race just hit a massive milestone! LandSpace launched the methalox Zhuque-3 — a true Falcon 9-class rocket (66m tall, 4.5m diameter, 9 engines) — on its debut flight from Jiuquan, successfully reaching orbit but coming agonizingly close on the first-ever Chinese downrange booster landing attempt, impacting just meters from the target zone. This near-miss marks the start of China's serious push into reusable launch, with multiple Falcon 9-scale methalox and kerolox rockets now on the verge of flight: state-backed Long March 12A (CZ-12A) targeting December 2025 with landing on flight one, Space Pioneer's Tianlong-3 (the closest Falcon 9 clone yet), CAS Space's unique triple-core Lijian-2, and more from Galactic Energy, iSpace, and Deep Blue Aerospace. As China moves from building 68 expendable boosters per year to mastering reuse, 2026 is shaping up to be the year the global launch industry changes forever. Watch the full Zhuque-3 launch breakdown, landing attempt analysis, and deep dive into every upcoming Chinese reusable rocket!

ULA CEO Tory Bruno Resigns After 12 Years — A Turning Point for Vulcan -December 23, 2025

Quote

Dec 23, 2025
Tory Bruno is stepping down as President and CEO of United Launch Alliance after nearly twelve years leading the Boeing–Lockheed Martin joint venture.

ULA confirmed Bruno’s departure in a brief statement, saying he is leaving to pursue another opportunity. While his next move hasn’t yet been announced, his exit comes at a critical moment for the company as Atlas V nears retirement and Vulcan Centaur becomes ULA’s sole launch vehicle.

Former COO John Elbon will serve as Interim CEO, while Mark Peller — previously Senior Vice President of Vulcan Development and Advanced Programs — steps into the COO role.

We look back at Tory Bruno’s career, from his decades at Lockheed Martin to his leadership during ULA’s transition away from the Russian RD-180, the retirement of Delta IV Heavy, and the long road to Vulcan. We also examine what this leadership change could mean for ULA as competition from SpaceX and other commercial launch providers continues to intensify.

India's Workhorse Rocket FAILS Again | 2 Consecutive Lost Flights - What Went Wrong? - January 2026

Quote
Jan 13, 2026
ISRO's trusted Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) has suffered its second consecutive failure in just eight months, with the PSLV-C62 mission on January 12, 2026, ending in disaster due to a third-stage anomaly that caused roll rate disturbances and loss of attitude control. Following the similar PSLV-C61 setback in May 2025 involving a chamber pressure drop, this back-to-back incident resulted in the loss of 16 satellites—including DRDO's strategic EOS-N1 (Anvesha) Earth observation payload and international rideshares from Brazil, Nepal, Spain, the UK, and more—raising serious questions about potential manufacturing defects, nozzle issues, transparency in failure investigations, and the future reliability of India's workhorse rocket ahead of ambitious goals like Gaganyaan human spaceflight. Dive into the technical details, timeline of events, and what this means for ISRO's commercial launch ambitions in this in-depth analysis.

Quote
Jan 15, 2026  #NASA #JAXA #SpaceX
After a medical concern with one crew member prompted NASA's first-ever early return from the International Space Station, the four astronauts of Crew-11 — Commander Zena Cardman, Pilot Mike Fincke, JAXA's Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov — safely undocked from the ISS in their SpaceX Dragon Endeavour capsule on January 14, 2026. Following a standard de-orbit burn, re-entry through Earth's atmosphere, and successful parachute deployment, the spacecraft splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the California coast at 08:41 UTC / 03:41 EST / 00:41 PST on January 15. The crew, who spent 167 days in orbit, was recovered by SpaceX teams aboard the ship Shannon and reported in good condition, marking a smooth conclusion to this historic mission adjustment.

Has Blue Origin Created a Starlink Killer? - January 22, 2026

Quote
Jan 22, 2026  #BlueOrigin #TeraWave #SatelliteInternet
Blue Origin just unveiled TeraWave, a groundbreaking satellite internet service promising speeds up to 6 terabits per second - orders of magnitude faster than Starlink or Amazon's Project Kuiper. But how? By leveraging laser-based optical communication between Earth and space. In this video, we break down the tech, the dual-orbit constellation (5,280 LEO satellites for RF links at 144 Gbps and 128 MEO satellites for optical backhaul), potential challenges like weather interference and beam precision, and why it's aimed at enterprise, government, and data centers rather than consumers.

We also explore the confusion around Jeff Bezos owning multiple networks, TeraWave's symmetrical speeds for massive data transfer, and its expected launch in Q4 2027. Is this sci-fi becoming reality, or are there hurdles Blue Origin can't overcome?
