Tweet from Eric Berger: Thank you to @CSIS for livestreaming this excellent lineup of civil space speakers next Thursday.
The White House National Space Council, chaired by Vice President Mike Pence, will conduct its second public meeting on February 21, 2018 at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Details are TBD, but it will follow the same format at the first meeting in October 2017, open to the public, and webcast. The topic will be regulatory reform.
Ahead of the second meeting of the White House’s National Space Council in Florida next week, a consortium of upstart entrepreneurial companies known as the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, which includes SpaceX, decided to host a reception for members of the council, who just happen to be some of the most powerful players in Washington. Headed by Vice President Pence, the policymaking council is made up of the secretaries of State, Commerce, Treasury, Transportation and Defense and other top government officials.
From the release: ‘“Moon, Mars, and Worlds Beyond: Winning the Next Frontier” will include testimonials from leaders in the civil, commercial, and national security sectors about the importance of the United States’ space enterprise.’
