Big fins are removed during transportation, and attached before launch. Second photo shows there is no room to attach (at least 2) fins when the missile is horizontal.

The flight has flown at 23:33 UTC from "somewhere in northwest China", presumably Jiuquan. The solid motor burned for 35 seconds with maximum velocity more than Mach 5 and highest altitude about 40 km.

Until now any confirmation about the exact location of the OS-X sounding rocket is missing. When studying the footage of the launch of OS-X in more detail, especialy those of a screen which shows life images of the rocket camera, I spotted an airport which seems to be near the launch area. I finally identified it as the Alxa Left Banner airport. And indeed in direct neighbourehood  I found what is a Sounding Rocket Test Range with multiple launch pads. OS-X was very likely launched from the upper right launch pad in western direction. The view field of the rocker camera is marked.

From Google Earth historical images, it seems that the missile range pre-existed the airport. You can see first two pads and two buildings in the 05 Apr 2005 image:

Based on the distance to the T intersection in relation to the curve, the launch likely used the central helipad as it's launch site. It likely was flown in and may have used one of the nearby hangars for fin assembly and payload section integration prior to rollout and erection. The helipads in imagery occasionally have helicopters parked there.

One Space's CEO shares what's next for 'China’s SpaceX’
In May this year, One Space became China’s first private company to launch its own rocket, the Chongqing Liangjiang Star, into orbit. We talked to One Space founder and CEO, Shu Chang.

IIRC they are going for max. velocity of Mach 4.5 this time. According to reports the flight will be on September 7.

This is not a OneSpace flight, but is from another competitor who (at least by name - more on that in another post elsewhere  ::)) is trying to beat them to the punch!

As reported in the sub-orbital flights thread, this one stayed within the upper atmosphere. Also notice the spear tip on OS-X1:

Some information gleaned from the video. The motor is made by OneSpace as other missile motors are too expensive and have obsolescence issues. Thrust is 294 kN, chamber pressure 10 MPa and burn time is 35 seconds. Its uses graphite vanes in the exhaust and fins for attitude control. The guidance computer is 1.8 kg. Funding started at 15 MY and is now 500 MY. The last test flight lasted for five minutes and six seconds.

keep in mind that the State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND) founded and owns OneSpace Corporation which is a State Owned "Private" Enterprise. SASTIND ultimately established OSC to compete with the subsidiaries of SAST, CAST, CALT and others.

Sure about public ownership? I found only sources that mention public subsidies, and that there have been several private financing series.
