Watch two #starlink satellites 44917 and 47153 come within a couple of hundred meters of each other at 2022-01-15T09:34:31.655Z
This was forecast based on latest fixes however new fixes may reveal one satellite was moved up or down prior to this meeting, just east of Argentina.

On the same day two other satellites were predicted to be close, but not as close, (with an altitude difference of 400m). Even so, one of those was lifted by 600m.

A bad batch?

Starlink launch V1.0-L22 consists of 60 satellites launched in Mar 2021. 12 of them have now been lowered to reentry after being held at 350 km (not orbit raising to operational service) - a 20% failure rate.

Just 2.5 hours earlier, Starlink 2208 reentered west of the Maldives over the Inidan Ocean. Starlink 2201 and 2202 are expected to reenter tomorrow. These sats are prototypes orbited on the Transporter 1 mission and are being retired after completing testing

Seen from the north Portugal/Spain @ 2022-01-23 ~T22:00 utc. Could this be the re-entry of STARLINK-2200 / 47414 or the debris trail is too big a for a starlink?

With the reentry of Starlink 2201 and 2202 today, all 10 Starlinks launched a year ago today on Transporter-1 have been removed from orbit. I infer they were used to test systems for the newer satellites and are no longer needed.
