New horizontal autoclave reaches Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in the state of Kerala. It took one year to cover 1700+ kms journey from Maharashtra to Kerala. Truck covered 5km per day. Wondering if it would've been faster to deliver it via ship/barge along the west coast in Arabian Sea.

Lots of information in the following webcast.

https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=49471.msg2119340#msg2119340

Some launch updates:

Mar 2021 Chandrayaan 3
Nov 2021 XPoSat
Jan 2022 Aditya L1
2022 Trishna (joint mission with France)
2024 Joint Lunar mission with Japan (launched by JAXA)

Developing a LOX/Methane engine derived from their cryogenic engine (50 to 100 kN thrust). Looking at various large launch vehicles with reusable first stage.

SC500(5xSE2000) + C25(1xCE200) = 10 t LEO, 4 t GTO

HLV-1: SC450 + SC90 + C32 = 10 t LEO, 5 t GTO

HLV-2: SC450 + 2xS200 + SC90 + C32 = 20 t LEO, 8 t GTO

This configuration was shown, looking to be derived from GSLV Mk.III.

SC200 + 2xS250 + C50 + C10 = ?

The Gaganyaan launch abort system includes separate low altitude and high altitude abort motors, like with Soyuz.

Right there in the aptly-named "Indian Launch Schedule" sticky thread crowning this subforum: https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=1173.msg2121401#msg2121401

Doing reasonably well thanks :)

Hi all !

I hope the folks at SHAR are safe and sound after the cyclone Nivar made landfall.

Does it affect ISRO’s next launch ? As I understood it should be in December ?

Brilliant ! ISRO’s next launch from SHAR is on next Thursday. Weather permitting (fingers crossed) I noticed from the ISRO’s website that the pictures of the rocket being assembled is from the 1st assembly launch vehicle building. Wondering if the second launch assembly launch vehicle building is operational ? 🤔🤔🤔

Great news !  Congratulations to him ! He deserves it. Also I feel it was normal, as there are a number of critical missions coming up in 2021, many of which couldn’t have been launched this year, due to this pandemic. Let’s hope it goes away, so that ISRO can achieve more success. Happy and above all, a very HEALTHY new year everyone ! Stay safe !

Folks, any news on when PSLV-C51 would be launched ? Also, what is the tentative launch date of GISAT-1. It seems that ISRO is remaining tight lipped for both events.

PSLV-C51 is scheduled for 28th February, while GISAT-1 should be launched on March but there isn't a launch date yet.

Congratulations to ISRO on another textbook launch.

Next mission is GISAT-1 satellite.

What about GSAT-20 ? Will it be launched this year ? And if so, would it be with a GSLV-MKIII rocket ?

Thanks

[zubenelgenubi: I moved GSAT-20 discussion to its launch thread.]

Wild guessing on page 37: CMS-03 = ex GSAT-20? ; CMS-02 = ex GSAT-24?  ???

Okay, I have been critical of ISRO: "Went to sleep during this pandemic", I said.

They have slapped me with this picture. A lot of FLP upgradation was completed during this pandemic. PIF in the background and completed MLP tracks in the foreground!

When completed, this will increase PSLV launch capability from 6 per annum to 15 per annum.
