Will GSAT-22 also be GSAT-N3?

According to this presentation, it doesn't look like that.
https://www.nrsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/pdf/ebooks/UIM-2024/4_UIM_2024.pdf

I believe GSAT-22 is a Ku-band satellite. GSAT-N3 is supposed to be an S-band satellite.
https://www.nsilindia.co.in/sites/default/files/u1/Annual%20Report-2022-23%20-%20English.pdf

A long time ago GSAT-21 was announced as an S-band satellite. I don't know if that's still correct.
https://www.sac.gov.in/SACSITE/SAC%20Annual%20Report/SAC_Annual_Report_2016-2017.pdf

I haven't found anything about whether the old GSAT-21 project is still alive.
The S-band GSAT-N3 might be GSAT-32. But this is the wrong thread.

The Cabinet's approval of ₹22,750 crore ($2.7 billion) in new funding for space activities signals a bold leap toward India’s ambitious space aspirations. This major investment underlines the nation's commitment to becoming a significant player in the global space race.🚀

We are building a space station with Bharatiya Antariksh Station, landing and retrieving lunar samples with Chandrayaan-4, expanding our interplanetary exploration to Venus, and developing the Next-Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV) that can land an Indian on the moon 🛰️ 🌓🪐

The New Space Age will see increasing contribution from India through collaboration between Government of India, @isro, and the burgeoning private sector.

The most exciting times for the Indian space sector! 🚀🇮🇳

All remaining flights of the GSLV rocket are now fully booked & #ISRO is no longer offering launch contracts for GSLV! 🚫

Within the next decade, both PSLV & GSLV are going to retire, after which India's launch demands are to be met by SSLV, LVM3, NGLV & private launchers. 🚀

Vikranth @VikranthJonna
ISRO closes out 2024 with a bang!! 🚀

With 3 PSLV launches, 1 GSLV launch and 1 SSLV launch. It visibly was not that frequent with a huge gap in between.

🚀Regardless, 2024 was important for ISRO as it received approvals worth around Rs.30,000 crores for Chandrayaan-4, NGLV, Venus Orbiter & the Gaganyaan Extension Programme, providing a roadmap all the way to 2040 with a lunar exploration programme in mind.

🚀ISRO also carried out the second and third RLV "Pushpak" Landing Experiment in Chitradurga paving the way for RLV Orbital Reentry Experiment in the coming years.

🚀Work on the first uncrewed flights of Gaganyaan to has been progressing very well behind the curtains with all the flight hardware for Gaganyaan G1 mission reaching SDSC-SHAR apart from the Crew & Service Module. The integration too began with a launch target of January-Feburary next year. Navy Trials have also begun in preparation for the recovery operations of the Crew Module.

🚀Key steps are also being taken to improve LVM3 with the Cryogenic Upper Stage now being capable of performing in-space relight, allowing it to undertake more demanding and challenging mission profiles.

🚀 2024 also saw Aditya-L1 spacecraft reaching its L1 Halo Orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrangian Point 1 and begin its scientific operations. It also observed the abnormal activity of the Sun this year that caused impressive aurorae here on Earth.

2024 has set the stage for a lot of important missions to unfold in 2025 and beyond.

Exciting times are ahead for the Indian Space Ecosystem & Exploration!!!

ISRO Demonstrates Restart of Vikas Engine

January 17, 2025

ISRO successfully carried out the demonstration of restarting its Vikas liquid engine on January 17, 2025 at its engine test facility at ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri. Vikas engine is the workhorse engine that powers the liquid stages of ISRO’s launch vehicles. This test marks a milestone in the development of technologies for recovery of stages, leading to reusability in future launch vehicles.

A series of tests are being carried out to validate the restarting of the engine under different conditions. In this test, the engine was fired for 60 seconds after which it was shut-off for a period of 120 seconds followed by restart and firing for 7 seconds duration. All engine parameters during the test were normal and as expected. Previously, a shorter duration restart was carried out successfully in December 2024 with a shut-off time of 42 seconds and firing duration of 7 seconds each. Further tests are planned in the coming days to optimize the performance of the engine under restart conditions.
