Ooo! ooo! I get a Dragon?

It's funny how short the party seems for SpaceX... their rollout being on the same day as launch.

Go SpaceX!

8:35 on Sunday night is definitely better than 3:30 on Tuesday morning.

I already have my T-shirt from last time, but now I'm looking forward to my pens and X cap.
The Space Age is just starting to get interesting.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone will be going to this launch tomorrow night?  I'll be watching from Port Canaveral to photograph it but not sure really sure what to expect so was hoping for some advice.  Excited to wear my new SpaceX tee!

You may already be aware, but KSC VC is selling causeway tickets for this one for the first time, and actually just $20 more than admission which is pretty good and cheap compared to what they've been charging for similar tickets in the last few years (usually outrageous). The causeway is just four miles away, a great view of this one. I'd recommend it if you can.

Let's not, and say we did.

Actually, let's not and say we didn't.

Let's remember the enormous amount of investment that goes into a launch, even a unmanned one.  That doesn't count the emotional investment that some of us have.  SpaceX has done their best to prepare.  Let's just hope for complete success and leave it at that.  :)

Thanks for the reply... yeah I found that out recently but unfortunately I paid for one-time admission to KSC a few weeks ago, and while the causeway is tempting I don't feel like forking over another $140 for my wife and I to go... especially being as they won't refund the money if they scrub the launch.

I was experimenting with a newer version of VLC that can export jpg screen captures. I also have a Firefox plugin "FlashVideoDownloader" to claw the streams. A few little questions remain for VLC playback with the seeking, - But it works.

Edit 1: Seeking the stream can be accomplished by downloading from a new link in the plugin, full window, with the last link in the list.

Edit 2: ustream crossed my mind, but none of the plug-ins can grab the live stream, only playback only. Still working on it.

Edit 3: Found a link for the Nasa TV HD Akamai stream! :o http://nasa-f.akamaihd.net/public_h264_700@54826

Edit 4: A few remarks, The NTV stream on the SpaceX Livestream are degraded as expected, use the Akami feed for Nasa TV. The Akami URL works directly on VLC. Downloading any dynamic stream will download at 1x the rate.

With the SpaceX livestream and Nasa TV stream, have VLC to directly download the stream using the Akamai link, and what the firefox plugin finds with livestream. I don't recommended downloading and playback on VLC realtime for live coverage. I guess, if bandwidth or speed allows having two streams at once.
