input~2, thank you for the clarification.
Should we also forget the names of ChinaStar-2 and SinoSat-3R?

What about Sinosat-7 (XinNuo 7)  which is scheduled for launch in 2014? They must have changed its name.

Yes, the name has changed!
According to a recent China Satcom leaflet, they had, as of June 2010, 6 satellites under construction:
- Chinasat-6A (previously known as Sinosat-6)
- Chinasat-10 (previously known as Sinosat-5)
- Chinasat-9A (previously known as Sinosat-4)
- Apstar-7
- Apstar-7B
and ...
- Chinasat-11 which "will use a new location or serve as a back-up for other in-orbit satellites"
So we can assume that this Chinasat-11 is the previous Sinosat-7!

Rui, you may consider updating your list, changing Xinnuo-7 to Chinasat-11 in 2014

Just received notice from China that launch preparations for Beidou-2 GSO-1 are on the way. Launch is planned for August 2. No official confirmation available.

... and this source tells that launch will happen on August 1 at 22:00 local time.

A report from Tianlin (Guangxi province), located in Compass-I1 launcher debris drop zone, indicates that two other Beidou-2 launches will drop debris in the same area in December 2010 and April 2011.
Presumably this could mean a Compass-I2 launch next December and a Compass-I3 launch next April.

This year, after August, 3 more Beidou-2 satellites are planned to be launched.
Source#1 and Source#2
This would result in a total of 5 Beidou-2 spacecraft launched in 2010.
With a more precise translation, changing "after August" for "starting from August", we should still expect 2 Beidou-2 launches in 2010. This is in line with Rui's revised schedule as of August 6..

The launch plan for Beidou-2 as presented by the China Satellite Navigation Office at a satellite navigation conference in March in Munich  was as follows:
Phase II (regional coverage), achieved "around 2012", with 5 GEOs, 5 IGSOs and 4 MEOs
Phase III (global coverage), achieved "before 2020", with 5 GEOs, 3 IGSOs and 27 MEOs.

According to the director of China National Weather Satellite Center, 14 weather satellites are planned to be launched during the next decade.
The launch of Fengyun-3B is confirmed "before the end of 2010".
Fengyun-4 launch would take place "after 2015".

One of the members of the 9ifly Chinese Space Forum said that there is a possibility that we can see a launch from Jiuquan before the launch of Chinasat-6A at the end of the month... or maybe just a wild rumor...
