H-2A (F16) launch with IGS - November 28, 2009

As far as I know Japan is planning to launch H-IIA launch vehicle F16 with IGS satellite no 5 with Optical 3 in it around 27th-29th of November 2009.
It is said to be launched from Tanegashima Space Center but when does the Launch Vehicle placed in the launching pad?
I thought normally they are placed 1-2 weeks before the countdown.
Japan seems to be making it as a top secret project not letting the press knows well enough.
Anyway...wish them good luck.

Hey everyone...Do we get to see the launch by this month or what?
ANybody has any idea whether this H-IIA F16 is about to launch?
Is it because it is highly classified?

Need answers...

This is a military launch, so don't expect to have many informations about it soon.

Friends, Japanese, Countryman,
Lend me your ears.

:)

Hey guys...I thought H-IIA (F16) is LOX fueled....that means it needs to be fueled within couple of days before the countdown.
Would there be any live broadcast through the net?
Or maybe some live news out there?
Give me some ideas...

The H-IIA core uses LH2 as fuel and LOX as oxidizer. Both are cryogenic and are therfore only tanked to the launch vehicle a few hours before launch to minimize the boil-off-losses.

Launch window for the H-2A (F16) is 0121UTC to 0135UTC, November 28.

At this time the main concerns for the launch are the weather conditions.

Does that mean 10am-11am is the launching window in Japan time?
I just watched NHK's weather forcast and it would be cloudy on 28th.

I heard the satellite onboard is IGS which is 40cm resolution (Optical 3).
Do I have to understand this resolution as one pixel is 40cm or it can verify 40cm object.

I also found out that the island where Tanegashima Space Center and the launching pad are only 10-20 meters above sea level and this means typhoon might affect there research.(of course not this month though)

Another thing...would there be any live countdown online else where on the net?

It's probably it is tuned on your local time (your computer time).
It's only a countdown program code based on local time.

NHK World just reported that they are launching H-IIA with Intelligence Gathering Satellite live.

You can find it in www.nhk.co.jp.

Video is protected somehow....
