Reworked my #Raptor models to have more deets and updated the nozzle for RVac.

Three of these bad bois will be pushing the SN8 to the skies in the upcoming hop to 60k ft

Rigged the #Raptor SL model with hydraulics. Simple to animate with just one control point. 15 deg of travel each way.

Full pitch, yaw and roll control with just the three #Raptor engines. Still 15 deg of travel without intersecting bells, even in roll config

Within the week it’s quite possible we will see @SpaceX ‘s SN8 make the history books. Here is a sneak peek at my infographic (I will upload on launch day) detailing step-by-step, how the flight should play out, then followed with an update on how it flew. Watch this space.

I was thinking about what it would be like for internal space inside the SpaceX Starship, so I made this to scale comparison image of the internal layout of the SpaceX Starship and the Skylab space station. @John_Gardi @DrPhiltill @Avron_p @julia_bergeron

Thought the header tanks were "simply" for the orientation burns, and that the main tanks would take over again once flow was established - no?

Still very IP on this but thought I'd share where my model is at right now. This is a hybrid of real and conceptual elements.

All these renders are terrific, but there's something incredibly retro and appealing about those from Tony Bela. They make me feel like a little kid getting excited about rockets again.

I can't remember ever being this excited about rockets and spaceflight, and I can remember watching the Enterprise drop tests.  If Starship/Super Heavy works as advertised it will deliver the paradigm shift the Shuttle promised and never delivered.

Agreed! Somewhere, Robert A. Heinlein has a big damned grin.
