Nobody would start with the original pilot over The Gathering with Christopher Franke's score.)
Quote from: jon.amos on 08/14/2017 05:36 pmGood God man that's a CRT! This is the 21st century If it still works, why spend money for a new monitor? Especially since flat-screen monitors don't last too long, compared to CRT monitors. I still use a 15-year-old CRT monitor, and it works just fine!
Fun fact, the SpaceX engineer broadcasting has his lapel mic mounted way too low on his shirt, causing the background noise to be much louder than it should be. Moving that up 4-6" would reduce the background noise by half.I'm an audio and video systems engineer and I find that very annoying.
He's a good puss! I'm missing mine terribly.

Groan... When I was in college we joked about a malady we called "CRT-eyes" (a terminal illness).

Looks like a great place to watch a landing. The sonic boom arrives 11 or 12 seconds before landing. This is MUCH earlier than what was experienced at OSB-II, which is 10.5 miles (~55 kft) 12 seconds is ~14 kft, and if there was a 5 sec delay at the OSB-11 (just guessing) that makes it ~20 kft closer for a distance of ~35 kft or ~6 milesJetty park is ~ 5 miles from LC-1. Rt-401 is about 6.5 miles. For those that have watched, which does it look like?well looks like it was shot from here, see map

Just like a cake, the same things have to be done to make and fly one.
