The book will be released May 15, 2018.  On Amazon it is listed in Kindle, hardcover and paperback editions.  The Kindle price appears real, while the other prices appear to be for used books.  Until May 15th, of course.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076838QS2

CORRECTION: Amazon has changed the release date for the Kindle version to May 16th.

Just to add my vote. If you haven't read this it is excellent.
The view of the chemists working their way through these nasty chemicals with that mid 20th century
American engineering viewpoint of can-do is wonderful.

It is a chemist memoir so be prepared for ... well .. chemistry ...with no apologies, as well as exploding compounds, diving to the floor, and other things.

Be warned, the kindle version gets really bad reviews because of the layout.

Warning taken.  It wouldn't be the first time a Kindle adaptation of an old book turned out bad.

The new edition should come with proper ebook formatting. I would wait a bit if anyone wants to buy it from amazon.

Aargh... I just got a note from Amazon saying this will be released on May 30th now.  Hopefully it's because they're doing proper verification of the text and its formatting.

Received it overnight.  At a glance, it looks like a normal Kindle book, not a PDF from scans as it had previously been.  One error jumped out at me at once, though: in the front there are a couple of photos with captions.  The photos for "good result" and "bad result" got reversed.

Beyond that, judging the overall quality of the adaptation will have to wait until I read it.  Only in reading do you see whether an actual human editor ever touched the thing, as opposed to just a spell-checker.
