The correct transcription for the Tianyi satellite is Dianfeng.

So, Xianxiang-1-8 is incorrect or Dianfeng is another designation for the satellite?
Yes, a personal name Dianfeng (巅峰号) in addition to the serial name Xiaoxiang-1-08 and the sequential Tianyi-15.

Report on one the satellites. Article says that 精致一号/Jingzhi 1/Exquisite 1 was launched in November 2017, but I can't find the corresponding launch for this.

At www.lzsat.com we learn that HEAD-1 and today's Jinghzhi gaofan shiyan weixing were built by Shanghai Lizheng Satellite Application Technology Co. Ltd.  上海利正卫星应用技术有限公司以, founded in Nov 2012 and affiliated to the CASC 5th Institute. Unclear to me what the current status of HEAD (Beijing HEAD Aerospace Tech Co Ltd) is and what its relationship to Lizheng is (just customer for the first sat I guess).

Yes, google translate shows Dianfeng in the transliteration but in the English translation box wrecks it as  'Jifeng', "Fengfeng' and various other things depending on the sentence!

Dianfeng means 'summit' I gather?

The first satellite is called 精致高分试验卫星 or Exquisite High-score Test Satellite or Jingzhi Gaofen Shiyan Weixing.

The second satellite is called 苏丹科学实验卫星一号 or Sudan Scientific Experimental Satellite 1.

The third satellite is called 潇湘一号08星 or Xiaoxiang-1 08.

A remaining mystery is this Sudan Science test satellite.   ? I haven't been able to find any evidence of a China-Sudan joint satellite technology agreement although it seems plausible. It doesn't seem to be a mistranslation since the English xinhua article http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2019-11/03/c_138525378.htm explicitly says it's developed for Sudan. If so, the National Centre for Research and the Sudan Univ. of Science and Tech in Khartoum seem likely participants.

I think this Haite is a Chinese transcription of high-tech, but I may be wrong.

Fantastic to see China advancing on vertical landing. Fingers crossed that they get it working. Probably not with this version of the long march series though. But I love the steps they take :)
