The Collegium of Roscosmos decided today (2011-03-18) that the launch of Soyuz TMA-21 should take place on April 4th at 22:18 UT (if given in original release in Moscow Decree Time, then 23:18 UTC, it is not clear). The faulty communication system Kvant-V was successfuly changed (as whole).

See http://www.federalspace.ru/main.php?id=2&nid=15867 (in Russian).

See http://www.federalspace.ru/main.php?id=2&nid=15867 (in Russian).

They seem to have trouble transliterating astronaut Burbank's name, using Бёрбэнк -- more like B'YORR-benk, when maybe Бэрбэнк
would have been closer. But then, English versions of Russian names can get weird, too.

And in cyrillic, Buzz Aldrin's last name begins with an "O", and it's actually closer, phonetically, to the actual name than an 'A'.

Current schedule of ISS flight events
2011
April 21 - Endeavour (STS-134) docking (to PMA-2)
April 26 (TBD) - Progress M-09M undocking (from Pirs)
April 29 (TBD) - Progress M-10M docking (to Pirs)
May 1 - Endeavour (STS-134) undocking (from PMA-2)

The Progress undocking & docking events will constitute dual docked operations for Endeavour as per this schedule, has this been approved yet? Maybe we can get a HD camera installed on Progress for the occasion (just a thought). :)

I was told Progress M-09M will undock till Endeavour docking, and Progress M-10M will dock after Endeavour undocking.

Ah thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I repeat my comment about a decent camera, how awesome it would be to get external views of the shuttle undocking and fly around! 8)

This is a little unclear to me.  Does this mean that Progress M-09M will undock before Endeavour docks or that Progress M-09M will not undock until Endeavour undocks?

Probably means what is normally done, to serialize the operations.  The Progress currently docked (M-09M) leaves before Shuttle arrives and the next Progress (M-10M) docks after the Shuttle leaves.

But we'll have to see about the rumor that anik posted earlier.

Likely ULF6 will accomodate the payload that was of question to keep the launch on 4/19.

Dang, what is it with Soyuzes lately?

TMA-01M had the analogue/digital conversion problems, TMA-20 had to have its Descent Module replaced, TMA-21 was delayed, and now TMA-02M too.

Due to teh Soyuz slip and keeping the "big boost" to after it, the ATV undock is moving to June 20.
