We have a launch vehicle, a location, and a launch window, but there is uncertainty about the payload. (as of this posting)

Cross-posts:
A few launches reported (at some time) to take place in February:
<snip>
- Gaofen-3 (02) to be launched by a Chang Zheng-4C from Jiuquan

Yaogan Weixing-31 Group-3 possibly to be launched in March from Jiuquan.

China will possibly launch Gaofen-3 (02) on the second half of February.

Our friends 9ifly Chinese space forum is saying that Gaofen-12 (02) will be launched from Jiuquan using CZ-4C (Y32).

spaceflightfans:

Gaofen 12-02
March 14...16
CZ 4C Jiuquan LC 94
They are not sure if it is GF-12-02. It may well be the fourth triplet of Yaogan Weixing-31 (?)
Gaofan 12 from Jiuquan would be unusual.
Might this be one of the launches shifted from Taiyuan to Jiuquan so as to put the stage drop zones into less problematic areas?

Or, might this be the launch of Gaofen-3 (02)?

Launch threads:
Gaofen-12 (01) (previous GF-12 launch)
Yaogan-31 Group 4
Gaofen-3 (02)

China launch schedule

2021

March 14/16 - CZ-4C - JSLC, LC43/94 - Gaofen-12 (02) (?)
End of March (?) - CZ-4C - JSLC, LC43/94 - Yaogan Weixing-31 Group-4 (3 sats)
?? - CZ-4C - JSLC, LC43/94 - Gaofen-3 (02)

November 15, 2020
February 25, 2021
March 2, 2021

(Eventually merged with the Yaogan-31 Group 04 launch thread.)

Now the confusion is perfect.  :D
Note: Gaofen 3 and 12 were launched in Taiyuan.

Note: Gaofen 3 and 12 were launched in Taiyuan.
Note that China stated that several launches were changing launch sites to reduce the need to drop stages on villages where performance isn't of concern plus note that TSLC is undergoing a major center wide new construction and modernization project and launches are not presently available except by long lead notice.

Yaogan 31 Group satellite triplets

Previous launch threads:
Yaogan 31 Group 01
Yaogan 31 Group 02
Yaogan 31 Group 03

The launch of a fourth triplet of the Yaogan 31 Group satellites is expected soon.

Cross-posts
Interesting design with the mission patch from the mission along with the previous one. This makes me think that we'll see a third trio launch sometime soon.

Note: Sino-centric view of Earth in the patch art.  (Not knocking it, just noting it.)

So YG 31-02 and -03 groups went into new planes, and from the looks of it we should expect at least one more group to have an almost-regular plane spacing (and revisit).
Patches show three planes of three sats each.

Very normal for Chinese launches, it's not like the times we first heard information after it launched.  ;)
Launches Seen: Atlas V OA-7, Falcon 9 Starlink 6-4, Falcon 9 CRS-28,

The satellites have been injected in a new plane as expected. Now the constellation has 6 equally-spaced planes, so it is complete.

Objects B and C are maneuvering.
The third one may be D -- its last TLEs are two days old.
