172167's a lot on the shore behind the village.  The ground was being cleared at least 2 weeks ago.

Reviewing the images in my post from two weeks ago several other "non SpaceX" properties look like they were undergoing ground work too. I expect we will see several more purchase document filings over the next month.

This was on the agenda for discussion of the Cameron County Commissioners Court meeting on 11/21, see item K on page 12 of https://storage.googleapis.com/document-uploads-001/uploads/video/agenda_file/281675/11-21_CameronCountyCC.pdf - if you go to the meeting video https://cameroncountytx.new.swagit.com/videos/281675 you can navigate to the discussion at around 1:21 (item 4J in the video index). I haven't actually watched it, but I take it from all this that the outcome of the discussion was to approve the request

It's section index 4K at 1:22.

Summary:
No objections were submitted to the council.  Discussion: all residents are notified, and most property is owned by SpaceX.  Without further discussion: Monition carried for approval.  Approved by the Council for adoption.

"There’s no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. … What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake, mankind, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams."

“But the plans were on display…”
“On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.”
“That’s the display department.”
“With a flashlight.”
“Ah, well, the lights had probably gone.”
“So had the stairs.”
“But look, you found the notice, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” said Arthur, “yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.”

County records updated to December. New filing for South Shores lots 6-7 block 8.

With the recent paving up that way I wonder what they might be planning.

Looking at this zoom/crop from RGV Aerial Photography episode 100, even more clearing of "non SpaceX" lots and construction behind the village.

A couple of more SpaceX lots recorded on the 8th and 11 in South Shores and the Village area.

172083 - on Johns Street in the Village

173438 - second row of lots along Boca Chica Boulevard in the area east of the village.

Technically, they're both great quotes from the late great Douglas Adams, I suspect that yours will be more applicable in a year or 2 when SS is up and running (flying?).

Even the village changes are dramatic, that large grey structure at the bottom has been destroyed. Blink and it changes.

They are clearing the block of 5 lots at the upper left owned respectively by the Laba Brothers and Leland Phillips. A couple of others look like they may be in progress but I'm not sure.

Nothing new showing in the county records yet but there are only about a half dozen other non SpaceX lots clustered to the lower left to buy if you ignore the State owned lots. I wonder if they bought Phillips' offshore lots too? Phillips also owns the green double lot on Esperson next to the old solar farm. Something might change there soon too.

Could someone write a summary of all the SpaceX company aliases that are used? Also what's the status of 173643 that SpaceX was in court about?
LEO is the ocean, not an island (let alone a continent). We create cruise liners to ride the oceans, not artificial islands in the middle of them. We need a physical place, which has physical resources, to make our future out there.

This screen capture is from RGV Aerial Photography episode 102.

More clearing by the village. Ignoring the state owned lots there are only 2 green areas that they do not own which do not seem to be getting any attention. The irregular shaped New Alexandria lot on San Martin and the near by lot to the left on the South Bay coast.

The cluster of 4 lots in the center seem to be getting filled around the edges with gravel? Maybe rain water holding ponds? That would be consistent with property they are leasing. I feel certain anything getting built upon will show up in county records as purchased sooner rather than later.

The only alias names I recall SpaceX using to purchase property are dogleg park and the flats at Mars crossing. The Mars crossing lots have all since been transferred to SpaceX. They had something like Lonestar Minerals that leased the parking across from the launch site for "oil exploration". There were also outside companies they arranged to buy stuff anonymously early on to keep speculation prices down. Except for the lawsuit lot by the Star Factory all of those lots were resold to SpaceX as far as I know.

Did we ever find out what happened with that suit, or even exactly how the other company thought SpaceX had cheated them?  I thought it was supposed to go to trial in late 2023 but haven't seen anything about it for months.
