Another confusing thing is that R-7 are also refered to as the following

10М127С
10th machine of 127th series - 8K78M Н15000-294 Interbol-1

38th machine of 132nd series - 11A511U-PVB 14F138 Liana Lotos-S

12th machine of 133rd series - Soyuz-2.1B 14F137 Persona

That is what I had in my list at first... So either 112 is incorrect... Or this is the first one out of sequence...

So either 112 is incorrect... Or this is the first one out of sequence...

I think that number is correct - Ю15000-112 (one of the numbers out of sequence - the rocket made by 1 year later?)

Number fairings (from the pictures) and the number of rocket
M-65                          Ш15000-111
M-67    Ю15000-079?  Ю15000-112
M-02M  Ш15000-080   ?                   (I think Ш15000-113)
M-01M  Ш15000-081   Ш15000-114
M-66    Ю15000-082   Ю15000-115

According to my source:
11А511У-ПВБ №Ц15000-113 Прогресс М-02М
Ц - this is correct?

Do you know what is the object one can see at the junction between Blocks B/V/G/D/ and Block A ?

I think it is removed before launch, but it is still here during launcher erection.

Not found the answer, but definitely they're there after installation on launch platform but not at launch. Guess they are red so they don't get missed!

This was addressed in another thread, someone was speculating about the jettison mechanism for the strap-ons, and I believe it was Jim who noted that if the strap-ons were not securely attached to the core stage, then they would fall off as the vehicle was transported and raised vertically. So .... the implication is that the red objects hold the tips of the strap-ons during transport and erection, and then are removed, to allow the strap-ons to be jettisoned during flight.

Yes, I'd reached the same conclusion ! :-)

Not very difficult to guess. But what is it exactly?

Are the booters released by a pyrotechnical system or only through a pure mecanical process?

Anik very detailedly explained the lateral blocks' separation in this post http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=12437.msg270859#msg270859

As can be seen there, the separation mechanism at the pointy, top end of these blocks is just mechanical, aided by venting through the oxygen release valve. The only pyrotechnical event happens at the base of the boosters. So my guess is the red, removable part avoids the train movement causing some weird movement to dislodge the lateral blocks at their top joints.
