For contracting work and/or employment in the US aerospace industry, is it generally enough to have a green card or do you also need to get US citizenship? Does anyone know?

Green card should be enough for ITAR, which is the main issue with working in aerospace.
Plenty of the aerospace industry deals with classified info, which is the point a green card would cause issues. How necessary/useful a security clearance is depends on the company. Some basically do nothing classified, and for others it is almost completely required.
