SF Bay Area get-together to celebrate the life and passing of F9 core 19.

Tuesday the 7th, 6 pm till we'll had enough, BierHaus in Mountain View.

EDIT:  Some folks wanted to come in later - no worries, we'll drink slowly.

If you can't find us, just PM me.  I'll post the table location when we're settled in.

I thought the TL Beer Garden was out of business.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Say it isn't so!!!

Sigh.

Wrong side of the country for me the next month or two. I use to work the Motorola shop on Elko when Reagan was boss. Had Sunnyvale/Onizuka base, Lockheed, Stanford hospital and most of the PDs for customers. If you got a ticket in Silicon Valley in the mid 80s, other than San Jose, they were probably using my radios and data terminals.
I was responsible for many after work pitchers of beer meeting their demise back then, but I'm a little out of date now.

Maybe they will retire the core 19 jersey from now on, skipping the number 19.. so it will jump from 118 to 120 for example...

I'm East Coast, Boston-area, so I can't do place --- but I'll happily drink a beer at the time you name.

Count me in, although I'm in Belgium, GMT+2.  Here's to you, F9.  May the cause of your unfortunate demise be found, and turned into a guardian angel on the next F9's.  My beer will be Belgian Trappist of course, I'll raise my glass at a similar time.

Thinking about a SF Bay Area get-together to celebrate the life and passing of F9 core 19.

Next week, Tuesday the 7th, 6 pm till we'll had enough, TL Beer Garden in Sunnyvale.

(Since there are barely RSVPs just yet, and you can't make it, post or PM me right quick and maybe we can still change...)

RVSP below or PM me.

We're a group of four coming in for the New Space Conference (July 16 - 19) in San Jose. We might be up for a beer in the bay area to celebrate F9c19 on the evening of Thursday July 16 (SFF internal event on that evening), or possibly the day before the conference (Wednesday July 15).

Do you want to run a poll/sweepstake/bingo/bookmaker game as to the cause?

There are certainly enough theories in the discussion thread:

IDA
COPV Fast/medium/slow failure
Valve
Piping
Structural
Trunk Latch
LOX Weld
FOD from Stage 1
Other (don't mention the war!)
etc

Awesome.   I figure the topic of the root cause might come up, but so might the mountain on Ceres.

I'll get a table at 6, but I expect to some folks to only show up later.

For me personally, too soon  :)

Others may be tougher than me though...

Well, the Silicon Valley NSF chapter has concluded its first meeting, with great success.

Contrary to what we expected, none of us turned out to be 12 years old :)

It was fun, and next meeting will be for the return to flight.
