Beyond Gaganyaan
« on: 01/09/2019 12:25 pm »
What should India do in the realm of human spaceflight beyond the Gaganyaan mission(s)?

What could it usefully do that others haven't already done? Should India be reinventing the wheel? Is there any longer-term vision or roadmap for India's Human Spaceflight program beyond Gaganyaan?

After the basic crewed missions featuring the Crew capsule have been completed, should further crewed platforms be developed? What should those be?

Should there be a roadmap (even if informal), and which direction of progression should it take? What longer term goals should it strive toward? What would the milestone goals be? What should the approximate timelines be?

Not having that article at the moment that was making the genuine point relevant to this thread.

Yeah, India doesn't have any long term space program goal like big array of SATs, studying any particular celestial objects or operating humans in space or landing them somewhere.
We have been just adding up capabilities after other and demonstrating them in one after other project, not a particular goal.
