Pléiades-2 / LISA - Soyuz-2-1b/Fregat

According to http://www.esa.int/esaSC/120376_index_0_m.html LISA will be launched on an Atlas V.

I think, the piggy back payload on Pleiades was meant to be the LISA-Pathfinder, but i have found no sources mentioning a piggy back launch. LISA-Pathfinder is apparrently baselined for a Vega launch:
http://www.esa.int/esaSC/120397_index_0_m.html

Okay, thanks.

Yahsat is going on a Proton according to
http://www.space-travel.com/reports/Russia_Proton_M_To_Orbit_Another_UAE_Telecoms_Satellite_999.html

There are two Yahsat satellites.

Yahsat 1A will fly with Ariane 5.

Yahsat 1B will fly with Proton.

Both of the satellites are scheduled for launch in second half of 2010

Probably time zones.

According to the countdown clock on that website, the scheduled launch time is 15:47:00 GMT. That is unusually early for an Ariane launch, so can somebody please check it.

In a recent print version of SpaceNews (May 5) there is a report that the delays of Terrestar 1 and Herschel/Planck to 2009 free up another launch slot for a commercial dual launch end of 2008. Reportedly SES Astra has bought a launch option for Astra 1M on that slot. It might be engaged in case Proton's return to flight is causing substantial delays. For the moment, however, 1M is still scheduled on Proton.

Something that's strange: The launch schedule states ATV2 for 2010....while the NASA MPIM chart has an ATV listed for 2009 but none for 2010...

Arianespace is more realistic.

Given the delay with STS-125, start of 6-crew operations on ISS will be delayed too. This could shift the need for another ATV.

TerreStar-1 launch delayed to second quarter of 2009 due to the damage on the satellite's reflector.

Here is the corrected planning for 2008 :

V185 - Superbird-7 & AMC-21 - 8th august (but probably on 12th august)
V186 - Hot-Bird 9 & NSS-9 & SPIRALE - 29th october
V187 - Astra-1M & W2M - 11th december

Hershel & Planck are (not officially) moved to 2009, and it will probably not be the first launch of that year.

According to http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/Launchers_Home/SEM3MKXIPIF_0.html, the first VEGA (qualification) flight is now November 2009. It carries LARES and 9 Cubesats.

Following the qualification flight, VEGA's first operational flight is mid 2010 with a t.b.d. payload, called for in the above ESA Announcement of opportunity.

I guess, the other ESA VEGA missions will follow from late 2010 onwards...

I got an unofficial info about two new launches. Türksat 4A is planned for launch in 2011 and Türksat 5A (a.k.a TUSAT 1) is planned for launch in 2014 with Ariane 5.
